Problem with Ireland is that they keep playing the same matchday squad week in and week out. How and when they will start building depth will be key to the progress. South Africa can basically put out 2 teams of very similar strength which is why they are such a good tournament team

Not true. South Africas 2nd team would be crucified by Irelands first team. Not even close. Ireland are blooding players into key positions. 10, 15 and wings as well as some forwards. It will keep happening while keeping the winning momentum.
@notenoughstones38734 ай бұрын
@@LeMerch To be fair the only reason there is new blood on the wing and FB is because of injury. If Hansen and Keenan were fit, they would have been playing every game. Good for Ireland in the long term but lets not pretend this was planned. IMO Centre and scrumhalf are bigger concerns given the age profile of starters and replacements.

Ireland are on the decline, lucky to beat Scotland....

Might be but they were missing their 15, 14 and 13. We were lacking power against England and Scotland and a bit like the match v NZ, the lineout creaked and we struggled to impose our attacking game. This 6N have shown England are back and will be a big threat next season.

That's just an excuse saying only the world cup matters it's an excuse SA have made up to try and cover up their rubbish performances outside of world cups at the end of the day all the greatest sides in all sports history don't just win world titles they are consistent too SA aren't in that bracket because they never back it up like the 2011-2015 ABs did now that's what you call WORTHY champions

Wait what, we took the BIL apart during this time. We might not perform to great during our reign as champs but plenty teams will dip over 4 years, I believe the Irish are dipping now as their game plan as per any team needs to evolve.

That why South Africa has 4cups with 50% winning rate...NZ 30% and Ireland 0%.

Absolute nonsense . The world cup is about knockout rugby and if you want to win it you have to have depth and manage players game time .To do that you can't always play your best team. So what is Irellands goal to be consistent and not win world cups ,that's ridiculous Jealousy is a ugly thing

All I can say is Ireland best know this tour is not being taken lightly by South Africa. Like ones before. SA have Score to settle and NH critics to silence. I can guarantee they will not face physicality on the field and hostility off it like any tour before. Time to find out who the real men in green are

Our depth is not ridiculously good - losing even one or two starters really upset us - hadn’t realised how much Keenan is a keystone in both defence & attack. Hansen not fully covered by his sub - back row back-ups are good alright - time to bring in Munster 8 Coombs - thin now at 9&10 in terms of the replacements being a step backwards - Beirne didn’t enhance his prospects, nor did 15, even Ringrose dropping basic balls

Try listening to Rob Kearney. Heaslips analysis is often bizarre and he helped G England up with ludicrous comments on the the bbc rugby pod.
