That scene broke my heart! That was horrible! I was wondering about Korey's backstory. He was there for a crime that he didn't commit, and he didn't have any visitors not even letters from nobody. Yusef Mother was heartbroken for her own son, but she knew that Korey was in jail due to his loyalty for Yusef. Korey wasn't even on the list. It was sad when Korey Mother asked Yusef Mother if she can communicate with Yusef regarding to writing letters. Yusef stopped her in her tracks! I just wonder how she couldn't help him and did she have some family or friends support. To me $10.00 is not a lot of money. Korey was a warrior through all of that. As an outsider, why I saw on the justice is for black American I have no words other than how is this started? I have never seen a black, white or other person being ill treated by a system. In Europe everyone is equal before the law and no one overpower the laws. I feel like black American parents should teach their children to live their truths no matter the cost. Never accept a false narrative no matter what. Teach them never to admit to anything false even if it's to save themselves because only the truth can set them free.

Love Niecy Nash! In this interview, it is clear that she was ready, willing and able to give Korey Wise the love he craved and needed from a mother figure. She gave him that as a mother figure. She became his mother, not as an actor but as a human. They ALL did a great job in When They See Us!

I'm from South Australia and this film has traumatised me. It has affected me so deeply, I'm watching every interview I can on this case (I've never heard of it before). I can not believe the injustice, the helplessness of these boys, the inept court case, the fact a child was put in jail! What the actual fuck? My mind is blown. Jharrel Jerome was absolutely amazing. Every actor in this piece did so well. 🙌 And I'm thankful Netflix took this topic on. These poor, poor men. Makes me cry.

This interview was everything. The interviewer was very knowledgeable and during an interview, the interviewer is supposed to keep their composure but if this filim didnt break you, then nothing can. The cast was AWESOME. The young man that played Cory, kudos, he is about to BLOW UP!. Every actor and actress I felt depicted a true picture of a snippet of what these men had to endure. And no amount of money they could receive would ever be enough. I am emotional writing this.

Great interview! I love how the interviewer let her emotions show. This was a horrible, horrible thing that happened in history. We know about this incident and these men recieved some type of justice. Throughout US history, there are thousands and thousands of black men who never had representation, exoneration, or justice. Amerikkka has committed so many atrocities.

@Shenequa Golding God bless my sister, you made me feel so proud and I don't even know you. But, I know what is: it's because we get accustomed to only seeing one version of ourselves on media platforms don't get me wrong I love seeing the sista girl from around the way, but we're so much more than that, deeper than that. This interview for me was on so many levels the content, the professional, the compelling urge for call to action, and with all of that little black and brown girls seeing you conduct this stellar interview motivates so many of them. Thank you for that.

This was a great interview. I had a conversation with a friend this morning on how powerful this story was. I can say at times I had to walk away to process everything because the grief and pain was so intense. This great injustice has forever changed these young men and families who had to sit powerless in this pain. Even though time has passed I still see the indention of this horrific experience on these now adult men. I applaud Ava Duverney for telling the hard stories and the actors for very moving performances.
