英軍與國軍差不多，也有一些非官方，卻是全軍傳唱的軍歌（例如我有一支槍是官方軍歌，而我有兩支槍則是非官方同曲改詞版的歌）這首便是非官方的行軍歌。一戰後從行伍復員的官兵唱著這些軍歌回國，便又傳回國了。隨後時代更迭，這些軍歌便成為了悼念陣亡官兵儀式上會唱的軍歌。
