When your fish goes under pier or bridge free line usually they will come out from under you to return to the school. When jacks are in a frenzy you can catch them on a flip flop. Enjoyed the video "Catching Reel Memories"

Happens to me at Indian river inlet Delaware off rocks do a lot bucktails there with squid fish bite on hook you don’t pay attention when close to rocks probably kiss your rig goodbye With a fish on get him in fast of he’ll go to those rocks and you got a problem

With big fish you do, but I think small fish have less force so they aren't hurt as much.

Yea it depends on how big the fish is and how high you are from the water

Yeah man the big ones it’s best to lower them down to water but for smaller fish you don’t have to worry too much.
