Another great video, thanks. I have a holiday and sharwil in a raised bed and something is eating holes in the leaves and eating the tips of the leaves. Any thoughts what this could be and how to control it?

Thanks for the reminder. I don’t have enough of the larger pots so I have actually left seedling in the smaller pots too long. I’ll have to fix that. I need more scions to graft. I must have 60 seedlings that need grafting. It’s getting to the point of diminishing returns of the quantity of quality scion varieties. I’m just grafting more of the quality ones. I hate throwing away avocado seeds. Thanks for you great videos, Scott. What do you think - objectively - of Sir Prize. Would you put it in your top 15 avocado list? What about Bacon? Do you think it’s deserving of the bad rap it gets sometimes?

How do you deal with ants in your large avocado tree containers? I have tried Neem oil but not very effective. I saw online that using water in a spray bottle with a little dishwashing liquid and a few drops of peppermint oil is supposed to repel them. I just don’t want to hurt the tree or the fruit with whatever I use to get rid of the ants. Thanks.

Can you keep a dwarf avocado tree on a large pot?

There’s really no such thing as a dwarf tree, just slower growing like the Wertz. Any tree can be put in a larger container. Just keep it trimmed to the size you want to keep it at.

How much water are u adding everyday

I have to add 2 gallons everyday. Why? Because the roots are packed so tight it just flows out down the sides of the pot. Also, I had 2 + inches from the top of the pot to the soil level that is now gone due to the mulch composting and roots growing into that very top layer of soil
