I wondered why "Oh jana"and "saathiya" from Ishqbaaz were missed. Also title song of serials like "tere liye", "kyunki saas bhi kabhi bahu thi", "kahani ghar ghar ki"; as songs like tere liye convey the sacrifices couples are ready to do loving each other while the rest 2 explain the essence of family values and passing them to next generations. There were romantic serial songs however title song of kitni mohabbat hai, daily soap show through which Karan Kundra debuted could have been a part of this list as well. We talked about Mahabharata, "kumari chapi panchali" and "mein draupadi" from it too could have been a part which portray the grace of a woman also "sita theme" song from Siya ke Ram could have joined the list. Somehow it missed becoming a balanced top 10 list from all genres, it was more inclined to romance.

Since nobody mentioned in comments, I like to highlight about serial "Remix" from channel Star one. The serial was a music band based, they actually collaborated with band "Aasma" and developed their own album which was released too. I wish any of their songs made into the list because they were pretty good for that time. Next is - Tum Prem Ho from RadhaKrishn, it is very melodious and equally sensitive and romantic. :)

The only good thing about Indian tv serials are its mesmerizing title songs. I like the ones which are most unique, i haven't heard any bad title songs but yeah some of that you mentioned are quite mundane. For me(not including children's tv shows like Karishma,best of luck Nikki, hatim, shararat etc ): 1) Tu sooraj Sanjh- Because of the rich Rajasthani folk composition 2) Kkavyanjali/Kitni mohabbat hai/ kayamat se kayamat Tak/Kasauti- classic soap opera feel but really powerful & nostalgic 3) Udaariyaan & Kis des mein Mera dil- Former is feel good dreamy song latter is powerful song both have Punjabi folk theme 4) Yaha mein Ghar Ghar kheli/ Thoda sa badal/kumkum - both have classic Hindustani folk composition 5) Pavitra Rishta- Opera styled, beautiful angelic vocals really sound pure & pristine. 6) Ramayan 1986 Mangal Bhavan- Very meditative, simple but really mind pleasing 7)Yeh hai mohabbatein- Feel good cute, joy instilling song that titillates you from within 8)Uttaran/Tere Nishan- western/indo-western themed powerful song 9) Papnashini Ganga/ Razia Sultan- powerful songs, first one's with classical undertones and the second one has Persian feel to it 10)Tere liye- middle Eastern themed composition brilliantly sung

I will tell you my favs -: -Mahabharat 2014(every song) -Aladdin naam toh suna hoga main song -Chakravartin Ashok samrat title track -Jodha Akbar(in aakhon me tum, and has many good bgms) -Ye rishta kya kehlata hai( O more saiyaan) -Siya ke raam (don't remember specific songs but was quite good) -Jeene bhi de song -There was a serial based on Shani dev which had some good songs. -Yeh hai chahatein has a good song(not the tite track but plays quite often) that I don't remember but its dope. I will continue to add once I remember more. Search for serial songs on soundcloud or KZbin not on spotify. Also machine movie has a very underrated song (Tera Junnon), give it some love pls. Does anyone remember the old Doordarshan title songs? There was one called "Suno kahaani, suno" sung by Suresh Wadkar, written by Gulzar, for the DD Metro children's serial, Suno Kahaani.. "Yeh jo hai zindagi" in the mid-'80s was sung by Kishore Kumar himself! Then there was the eerie Aap Beeti title track (not a song per se). "Om Namah Shivaay" was a pretty elaborate Raag Bhairav piece sung by Pandit Jasraj. "Karma- Hu!" from Star Plus' early-2000s serial Karma was memorable for its punch as well. And of course, the melodious "Tujhe main dhhnoodhhta phiroon" from Anurag Basu's mid-2000s serial Love Story for Sab TV- it was the Hindi version of a famous Bengali song by the Bengali band Cactus. Lastly, Laxmikant-Pyarelal's last composition for Bheeshm International's late-'90s Doordarshan serial Aryamaan, sung by Vinod Rathod named "Brahmaand ka mahaan yoddha, Aryamaan". The song was impeccably designed with pure Hindi words and it had kept the Star Wars feel intact.
