If you don't have a means of getting to the Helstorm rocket batteries fast. The college of pyrotechnics hurts more. Plus the unbreakable steam tanks take a lot of chopping. They are both a pain in the ass!

@@kfsie1627 On the other hand, if you manage to ally with either to the point of reaching "Defensive Alliance", you've got one hell of a boost. Happened to me once (don't remember with which faction.) I got war declared on me with them at my side, the reverse uno card was *real* - it actually scared me to see just how ridiculously good at expanding the sucker was. Then, for whatever reason, he stopped expanding after having taken something like eight territories and just sat, waiting. Don't know what happened (warhammer 2 i must precise.) Needless to say the campaign went smoothly for me. But i still get scared when i see him on the field near me... like, for real, the guy is really scary. I dunno who thought that giving a dark elves lord high tiers chaos units was a good idea but that person earned both my admiration and my hatred in equal measures...

If you put your army under the cover of trees then the eneny artillery becomes much less scary. As Lizardmen, I have been doing exactly that and the Empire's ranged units try to get so close to get a better shot, that they end up going into melee.

I like a mix of warhammer and the historicals, I'd say keep up the variety. Disaster battles are always great, your tier lists are fun, doomstack rating could be really cool for the historical games as well. Honestly all your stuff is great, mix it up with games and keep rocking

​@@leolinguini260 Yeah, though there are some units in Shogun 2 and Rome 2/Attila you can do it with. Chosokabe Bow Samurai in Shogun 2 and those Pike+bow+dog units in either Attila or Rome 2.

Vashnaar's Conquest is very interesting. Sometimes they don't instantly die but instead capture some settlements and start making entire stacks full of Chosen, Darkshards and Dragons. They need to get lucky for that to happen but if they do they become the REAL Chaos invasion and chainsaw everything that comes their way.

Even their minor settlements get 13 unit garrisons with a dragon in them. They're a tough faction to deal with early campaign

I remember a bretonnia campaign I was doing in WH2. I'd secured the whole of bretonnia and decides to expand north in to the Empire. Almost the entire Empire was occupied by Vashnaar!

Rogue Armies do not occupy settlements in WH3. They usually sack a settlement until it reaches level 1 and then move on to the next.

I fell asleep watching a playlist of Legend last night and had the weirdest dream. Legend broke down in a huge truck outside my house and came in and lectured my brother and I about TWWH3. How the Norscan ice trolls are amazing with when dedicated to the crow? So to repay his kindness we called his wife and she came to get him, but brought their dog and was mad it needed to be walked. So we walked his dog, but there was a pet rabbit with a long leash and the dog kept chasing the rabbit into hiding spots..? IDK man weird lol, happy New Year Legend

0:57 this bit made me chuckle a bit, though it is true--is there a good unit Darkshards AREN'T capable of tearing apart? Also, pretty funny that in this campaign, he spawned not too far from the faction and Lord who, IN THE LORE, managed to hold him off in a prolonged siege defense--while it's great that the Conquest is a Rouge Army that seemingly makes apsiring Lords cry, I do think it would serve better as the opposition for Tlaqua's quest battle Anyways, many thx for stating your year off with highlighting the best "race" in the game--glory be to the Rouges, who piss off nearly everyone they come into contact with! Though I only watch the WH content myself, I hope you keep your current mixed format--it seems to be doing wonders for your happiness and frankly, it gives me an excuse to follow your channel without dedicating too much time into it. I'm subbed to six channels: four of which do WH content, three of which upload regularly, and only two who regularly upload WH content specifically...but even keeping with the three can be a chore, so being able to pop into your stuff only periodically is actually a help!

I hate AI in this game, no matter what scenario, they always come in waves making almost any fight against it way easier. If they would come all at once, in normal formations like they should, it would make for a way more fun experience and challenge.

In recent disaster battle from older game Legend demonstrated how AI committing all at once is very bad and there was a massive rout. The AI is by no means good, but if the AI was good, like some OpenAI for Starcraft is, this game would be unplayable.

Problem is AI doesn't fight each other that well sometimes they sit inside settlements and do sweet fuck all, or pester player because Anti Player bias. Example Ikit Claw, me as Arkhan he declares war on me immediately two stacks are coming the same turn, ignoring the fact the he is at war with Belegar next door. AI recruits way too fast, because they stack global recruitment and suddenly they have full stack no problems.

@@Malisman77 my experience is from the Empire in Warhammer 1 and 2 mostly and on very hard very hard difficulty. Units usually have to take significant damage before they'll rout unless its army losses.

at first historic videos were very interesting and exotic but even after a year i find my self going through yoıur warhammer videos again and not historic ones. The amountof "love" that has been put into warhammer as a whole is way too overwhelming compared to others and almost every video feels different, works out different. yes warhammer 3 has lots of bads but wh2 and wh1 is the saving grace with immortal empire and a geniun fountain of joy for me. keep up the good work legend

Hey lads lil tips you can manually aim your artillery if you use alt+right click, (or left click don't really remember) might be useful for your mortars if the enemies are all in mele with your frontline and you don't want to friendly fire them. might be obvious to some but you'd be surprise on how many people don't know that.

For instance about eight months ago, was playing as Settra and while I was clearing the desert and dealing with sudden war declarations from the Lizards, Vlad had swept down through the badlands and mountains, Durthu had Sartosa, and N'Kari was still alive after eating northern Bretonnia

Heya, just wanted to chime in with an observation about this upload. The audio balance seems a bit off at some points, more so than other recent uploads I think? Specifically the unit voice lines seem a bit louder than usual maybe. Not sure if there's a bug or if this an intended audio situation. Slightly harder to hear Legend, tho it is cool to hear more of the battle shouts and explosions/clashing.

For 2024 I hope you ignore what other people want to see and you just go out and do what you find fun and just have a good time. It wasn't you mixing it up by covering historical again that caused your channel to grow again. It was the fact that when you quit focusing on the horrible negativity that CA has become known for and instead just got back to having fun and enjoying yourself again, that's what made new viewers start to tune in again

Hey Legend, good News year i guess, i watch you for i dont even know at this Point how many years, and i personally Content wise found that "mess Up my Campaign" Video very entertaining. How about you Play campaigns a couple of Turns, then mess those campaigns Up to a Point of its GIGA fucked, then implement a Challenge, and provide the Safe File for people to download and solve your Challenge. You are more then crative enough to create some really challenging, funny and entertaining stuff. Instead of "Rating my doomstack Video" you make Videos on how they solved your Challenge best/ Most creative ways possible provided by years of Content from the master strategist himself. Would also be a good way to actively implement your Community more. Just a thought. Happy new years everybody.

Given the little expansion and huge capital in the bank, I bet the guy was probably trying to beat the game fullfilling all optional objectives. it slows expansion a lot but late game is more bearable. Playing like that forces you to have a tier 4 or 5 settement before getting a third province, so most of the game you play with and against high tier units.

I'd just like to see more of what you've been doing, just all the games. Rome, Medieval II, Attila, Shogun 2 and FotS, Warhammer, Three Kingdoms, etc. Maybe even Empire? (I'm kidding, I know you hate Empire.) If I were to change anything slightly, it'd be more base Shogun 2 battles instead of FotS. I just find base Shogun 2's battles much more interesting, because the AI is so bad at FotS's battles.
