Think of the blue balls on all the bloodletters as Skarbrand, the most blood thirsty being beside Khorne himself, dances in enemy fire for 5 min, then stands 50 meters away from the enemy but then just as it looks like blood for the blood god, decides to walk all the way around to the other side of battlefield and proceeds to dance again. It's no wonder he was exiled.

Tldr; fuck Wood Elf Endgame Scenario

It was kinda bugged for me. I wiped out Karak Ziflin after the Crisis hit. No Armys and no Settlements anymore. It sayed right on the Screen "Faction destroyed" (again) but they got 2 new Armys at their old Capital. Killed those two Armys, again Faction destroyed. Next Turn, two new Armys. Same with Clan Angrund, i killed ca 20 Armys and he still came at me with 10+ full Stacks.

@@hanspeter8982 somebody got even stronger bug, with the wood elven crisis - it would spawn them 2 armies each turn, even if you don't destroy capital, just never ending spam of wood elves. I'm worried a bit with their reproductive speed. Those were probably scaven under cover

Managed to get the crisis to start at turn 25 in my kemmler campaign. Even with the 35% magic resistance the dwarves can't handle it. Was interesting seeing the dwarves spawn mass amounts of armies, and some even at war with themselves (Zhufbar vs Ungrim). Lost track on how many beards I've collected

I feel like the melee animation on WH3 is smoother. The damage connects more often than not, at 13:12 when Skarbrand charges into a unit, he quickly took number of hits which I think is supposed to be. if this is on wh2, Skarbrand will take no damage at all. If you also zoom on a melee battle, I notice that animations of unit attacking now more correctly corresponds with the unit receiving the attack (if a unit did an attack animation, the receiving unit will do the receive damage animation) in WH2, it's just a pile of units attacking randomly and dying randomly lol

I just noticed something about artillery. If you hold space while artillery is aiming at something, the arrows have different colors. Red means it just shot, and is cooling down. White means it is reloaded and ready to shoot. Blue means it is moving into position for shooting.

It'd be cool if the devs had the AI monitor how successful their ammo was being used, and to stop firing if they aren't making any substantial progress. Then you could still waste some of their ammo, but once they figured out it was being wasted, they would learn before they shot every single cannon ball into the sand dunes.

Im surprised enough the Dwarfen army in the vid didnt just instantly get a stroke and fell apart. You know, like that 180 degree army reorganizatoin that the AI would sometimes do earlier in the TWH series.

one time i was playing as bretonnia and i was fighting norsca i had only knights errant and pegasus knightsand won with hiding in the trees having them chase the pegasus knights. i had a knights errand that was useless (had only 7 knights in it) and i were sending one unit to it at a time

That is the secret, it wasn't close because he did not over estimated his forces and never under estimate the opponent. It is SYDB in a nutshell, most people react like you and yolo battles, wich ends up here... And Legend being cautious and respectfull of what he is up against wipes his ass with what played with your balls in a way even you would search to understand how it seems so easy for him and impossible for you. EDIT: and also he managed perfectly the frontal assault. He wasn't just sending everything, sat back and relax looking at the battle movie, he actively snipes and destroyed EVERY single missile units in the dwarven army, wich represented most of their killing potential and balance of power. When they were beaten, army loss triggered and he just cleaned up the remains, but if he ignored them it wouldn't be the sameresult, even if the missile units never shot anything.

@@denistannenberg Because he most of the time manages to exploit at full potential the weakness of the ennemy's army and the strenghts of his own. It is the basics of strategy, find a way to win despite overwhelming odds. And the auto resolve doesn't take anything into consideration outside of a full frontal assault, without any subtlety. That's also one of the reason why some doomstack that are incredibly powerfull but needs to be used with finesse are dog shit in auto resolve, despite being easily able to obliterate multiple stacks without taking a single casualty. In that case, he wasted all the artillery ammo, negating a lot of balance of power virtually for free, he picked his fights to destroy some units at low cost for him, pushing it further on his side, he even explained how he did that: by cycle charging Skarbrand to disrupt their formation, knocking some into his own demons where they are ripped to shreds, taking "aggro" on them so they turn their back from his troops to hit Skarbrand in order both to save his own troops from taking damage and nullifying the melee defense of the dwarves that showed their back to Skarbrand's army (wich resulted into easy and free kills, mowing them down quickly), and when the all out assault begun the dwarves already lost a lot of their balance of power + front line, so his demons could swarm into their rank and negate their range superiority without being enough dwarven front line to keep them back... So in the end he dealt so much damage to the dwarves balance of power while taking so little risks for his own troops that the army loss triggered. But imagine every dwarves were unbreakable, it wouldn't be the same, he would have lost most of his army for the same result.

Yea, considering the auto-resolve said "decisive defeat" with high casualties, ok he lost 400+ troops, but still it was almost a 4-1 kd ratio, and only 3 units(excepting the cultist) had less than 50 kills.... bizarre, lol. Should maybe at least have been a decisive victory imo, not that that means jack-shit in the grander scheme of things, lol ;o) Anyways Denis, hf & tc buddy... Paz.

@@SuperChoronzon you need to understand the rules. Amry loss trigger when an army lost, if i am right on the number, about 70% of it's initial strenght in comparaison to the other army. Legend wasted all the artillery ammo, so 2 of the most banlance of power efficient units gone for free. He also wasted some of the ironbreaker's ammo for free, nothing major but it adds up. And finally, gave the full on assault and focused on the obliteration of the ranged units, without them fireing much. So legend could keep nearly all his initial strenght, but deleted, denied or wasted most of the dwarves balance of power, so when the threshold was crossed, dwarves lost, he cleanded what remained. But, if in an alternative world the dwarves were all unbreakable, he would have lost a vast majority of his army. His saving grace was the army lost, but he can't predict exactlly when it will trigger. Few seconds-minutes later and he would have been devastated, earlier as in this case he is fine. Also, auto resolve doesn't take into consideration leadership or army loss, not to the full extent. A high leadership gives more "points" to the units for his power, but it won't calculate "ok so at this moment after taking that amount of damage, this unit will break so it will start to snow ball for this side". Do not trust auto resolve in a lot of situations, it is really not that accurate. Basically that's what you need to understand^^ And if you are curious, look at the kill count on units after auto resolve, you will quickly understand how broken shit this method of calculation is most of the time.

wrong channel for that lol. AI in modern strategy games is always dumb thanks to coding limitations vs the tactical ability of real people. If you want "real" battles you'd need to go find a multiplayer channel that hosts 2v2 games

CA need to overhaul their AIs to their limit to counter any weird player moves, by making it more agressive instead of sitting duck like that.

that just means there are other ways to cheese them to take advantage of the aggression. It is impossible to program an AI to counter every strategy a player can create in such an open-ended game, not unless you are throwing supercomputers worth of calculations at the problem like what they did with Starcraft (even then, the AI was still dumb, it just had instantaneous reaction ability no human could match giving it the illusion of intelligence). As it is, WH3 AI is FAR better than anything WH1/2 had.
