Thanks for the video Jae! Day 520 sober today. Also day 126 nicotine free. After 30'ish years of binge drinking to accompany workaholism and chewing Copenhagen and smoking Marlboros for 45 years: Sober now at age 56! Can't remember ever feeling better. Stage II Emotional sobriety is happening! At first I was PISSED OFF at everything! There is thankfully some emotional serenity and a much more even keel than before. Leaves me with a great feeling of: The best is yet to come! Huge thanks to my savior Jesus! Surrendering to win daily is part of my program.

21 days sober!!! I am a heavy drinker from youth… 😔 After 20 years of hurting myself 😞 I’m breaking the cycle!! This may have saved my life!! This last Sunday there were severe wildfires that forced us to evacuate. This happened around 2-3 pm on any other day I’d have been pretty buzzed by then on a Sunday… Because of my sobriety I was an asset to help my family evade the flames rather than a liability. I praise Jesus for changing my life. Anyone who is struggling please stay strong and understand LIFE IS BETTER SOBER!! Stay strong 💪 stay sober!!

Well Jae, I was sober for 6wks. The longest stretch-big thanks to you, other sober you tubers and most of The Lord! But, I picked up weekend beer drinking and it (mostly) stayed that way but I hate the bad sleep, gut feeling at night and of course the sluggishness the next day. The fews days a week I did not drink was so much better! Why do I go back?? There is NO benefit to drinking. The quick dopamine hit is good for sure but it's fading and then downhill after that... I am taking each day now as a victory. Today no alcohol. 🙂

Not just physically but emotionally and spiritually. I’m not giving up and neither is the Lord. Thanks for asking! 🙏

I do socialise in my local snooker hall and always at the bar for my son but I never think of buying myself any alcohol myself, I would definitely educate yourself on hydration and what alcohol can do to the body and how it effects your sleep. I’m in bed every night for 9am and I wake up fresh ,wanting to get up and I’m definitely not dragging my head around during my day , I also had a bowel scare after drinking but all is good but it’s always wise to contact your doctors if you not and blood or changes in your bowel movement 👍

Going on three days! Long time coming…for myself first and then my boys…so much guilt. I’ve been coasting through my life. Yes, I have trauma. Yes, I’ve gone through a very abusive relationship on every level with my boys father and it’s still on going.. 3 years post separation…not an excuse. I deserve so much more and my boys deserve a mom who is 100% present…your videos just in the past couple days are very inspiring and I appreciate you for doing this so much! It’s funny and not surprising that I’ve already told myself come this weekend. Maybe I can just allow myself to have a few drinks with friends when the boys are with their father! I know I have to change my thoughts for sure.. Like you said, it’s Totally how you’ve programmed your thoughts and your activities, etc. I’ve had all of the thoughts of well. That’s not gonna be fun without alcohol… Camping without a few drinks?… The list goes on! I know this is going to be life-changing and I may have to lose a few people in my life and that is the scariest thing for me right now! But I am just trying to stay present continue hiking cleaning out my cupboards. I’ve even pulled out the weeds in my front driveway that have been growing for months lol thank you again. When I saw pictures of myself, I didn’t cringe! Eventually, I decided that I could live a mostly sober life and decided to drink socially. Over a year later, i am back to drinking more than ever. I managed to mitigate obvious external effects of drinking for a long time, and even reduced my overall intake quite a bit. But as implied here, the fact is half-measures don't work. Eating healthy, staying fit, keeping your mind active - all that is habit, and after a workout I feel awesome. But alcohol hits you in all those other ways. What's causing me to draw the line is the other negative impacts - they only get worse over the years. Culminating in a bizarre weekend (camping) I'm still at a loss to explain. I'm getting out before something *really* bad happens. I see how therapy is one of the twin pillars of success, and I've now promised myself to click that link, after watching many videos from this and other channels, believing every word, and still thinking I can do everything BUT therapy. That is a failed strategy, I can report that from the field. Complete measures must be taken. I don't know if it's spelled Jae or Jay, but thank you. I feel like you care - from the first vid I saw about 8 months ago almost everything you said resonated with me. Now that I'm going to do something about the drink, I felt compelled to comment for the first time.

I like the early video wh en you say "Who knows maybe you're watching this 5 years from now." Ummm YEAH! Here I am ... Day 7 and 65 years old. I wish you would address those of us who feel we have no future because we're so old. Also those of us who lost our jobs years ago remained unemployable for years and NEED to get working again!

10 hours before bedtime? I'm definitely not a very moderate caffeine user. But I stay off alcohol and I've really reduced my weed habit. I was finally able to get a large amount of CBD flower which helps a bit. But it's sadly hard to find CBD flower, while weed itself is everywhere. I still have a notion the legalization might help decrease violence, but not seen much progress in my city (Albuquerque) yet.

My mom was about your age when she quit. now her doctors won't stop glowing about how healthy she is and appears to be aging backwards! Looking forward to celebrating your WINS! 👊
