same here, though I hope they can find a way to reverse all the damage that post cataract removal, post secondary cataract YAG laser, and an eye injury left behind. Then go all the way to keeping our eyes from aging at all... ok maybe a little far fetched, but I did read an article in I think its called "Futurism" where a Neuro-engineer (I memory is correct) helped a Blind person to see, by creating glasses for them which had a camera and a computer (I guess a small chip or something, and they somehow connected the glasses to her brain and sent electrical signals to enable her to see. I'm not sure it was colour vision, but she could read letters, walk around and she played a Pac-Man game the engineer installed into the glasses. It's a pretty wild story, but I think the future can be bright.

I’ve never seen a night without the dots. My earliest memories in life (which go all the way back to being bathed in the kitchen sink when I was a baby) I remember trying to stare at each individual dot and not being able too. It use to frustrate me. I use to wish I couldn’t see them. When I told my parents about it, they told me that’s normal. So I assumed everyone could see the dots. I had no idea that it’s not normal. I hope they find a cure, and I’m willing to be part of the trials if they ever need volunteers.

Thank you 🙂. It would be great to make a global survey on how many actually suffers from vs . It will be stunningly many more than estimared because most people suffer in silence and are rejected by doctors and think they are the only ones. I was one of them, its terrible... At the same time there must be more knowledge about vs and how we suffer and how it impares our lives. We need too look forward and never give up until there is a treatment for us, hang in there , I agree with you Jean Holder, in your comment here ❤️

Ive had the visual static since I was a kid. I used to think I was crazy or had a brain tumour. I found out others had visual snow and it calmed me down. Over the years I was able to drown it out and get on with my life until now. One of my eyes seems to have gotten worse randomly. I thought I was having an migraine and freaked out. Ever since then then Ive noticed shimmering out of my left eye which is pretty hard to ignore. Im already seeing an neurologist for a nerve problem so I will tell them about this.

I've given up on trying to write a fantasy book that I've been working on, because of these symptoms. I hardly read for pleasure anymore. I never go out at night because of the static. do any of you see little blind spots in your vision or spots of light that fade away and may come back. These are not floaters or flashes. Also do any of you see dark spot in the dark such as when you wake up, and with more light it goes away?

What do you mean by spots of light that fade away. Can you elaborate
@SC86Canuck
@SC86Canuck 4 жыл бұрын
@@govindrb7949 basically spots that can seemingly appear anywhere, but not always just appearing. These are not floaters or vitreous gel, not left over after images. They can happen with eyes open or closed and seem to have a sort of small circular shape and have a sort of dim yellow hue or black hole sort of look to them. I see an ophthalmologist already as I was born with cataracts in both eyes, he doesn't seem to know what it is, and just says my eyes are getting old. I'm only 33. I have had YAG laser for secondary cataract and also an injury from a thin (thinnest for standard guitar) guitar string that scratched my cornea and sort of made a hole which was patched up. anyways apart from the injury and regular cataract stuff my ophthalmologist says my eyes look fine. Though I believe the VS is possibly skewing the results of a glaucoma test. Also, my eyes are often dry, and I have non-preserved natural tears. Sorry for the extra info

@@pixeldoom2406 I don't think it's possible to get worse, I believe over stimulization of the brain is what causes this phenomenon, I've had this for 6 years and it seems to get worse when I have coffee, (caffiene) or when im stressed or anxious. When im running it also seems to get worse. These things seem to all stimulate the brain, making it excited, firing multiple neurons off. To cure this I am going to try and get rid of as much anxiety as i can, as well as quit the caffiene, if you want to see if it has worked dm me

I have both but have always had them. Used to think it was normal. Fortunately, my tinnitus is not very bad the majority of the time and it often goes ignored. My visual snow seems more prevalent nowadays but I suspect it’s because I now realize it’s not normal so I keep focusing on it/ it’s more easy to notice since there are times where I am already thinking about it.
