This gave me great nostalgia for my grandma, Ma Cindy. Anytime us kids were rubbernecking at a car accident or verbal argument or anything suspicious, Ma Cindy would excitedly point in a different direction and exclaim, "look over there!". Of course we would always fall for it causing us to miss whatever was actually interesting. Later she would finally elaborate that she does this to limit the chances of ever having to be a witness.

@jmflyer552 жыл бұрын
"Diffhicult to reform" ??? Really? Ya think? Lol Let me tell you a little bit about reforming prisoners in our modern day "judicial system", prisons and "houses of correction"... !! Even the name, "house of correction" is utterly preposterous when trying to imply that the modern system is going to "correct" anything what-so-ever. Perhaps what I tell you about will be new information to you, or, perhaps you already know all these details. But, (shamefully) speaking from experience, he ya go. In todays modern prisons, (jail & prison both) "rehabilitation" amounts to nothing more than sitting in a room with other offenders and a "counselor usually once a week for an hour. Maybe twice a week. What it amounts to is the prisoner sitting and listening. Period. IF you have a very proactive councilor, you may have to nod your head once and a while so that it seems you're listening attentively and "learning"... 🙄 Most all inmates would never bother to even attend these ridiculous sessions talking about their feelings, but the prison system usually gives some type of prize for attending, which could be anything from getting an earlier release, to removing infractions on your record. And it's solely for these reasons inmates even attend. Because they get some kind of reward out of doing so. They are not attending to be "rehabilitated". And having a one sided conversation with 99% of these men do NOTHING to "rehabilitate them. After their hour "group" back to their cell they go to lay down, eat snacks from the canteen and either sleep or just BS with others. The way prisons used to be run actually had MUCH better chances of success. And that was way back when ALL inmates were forced to work. Hard, manual labor every day. Hard work does wonders for men. Especially younger men. It gives a sense of accomplishment and purpose. Think of it this way. Many that come in, didn't have a job before they came in. Many were homeless. Many were penniless, living outside in the cold, often hungry with no food and no money. But then, you give them a nice place to live, warm, 3 meals a day, clean clothes washed regularly, and access to showers. They get all that, but then, are forced just to lay around all day relaxing. Or lifting weights if available. All because some liberal far left politician says hard work is a dirty word, so they aren't put to work. Basically, a LOT of the inmates are being rewarded with their nee living conditions, there's nothing "hard" about it, and doing "hard time" is something that no longer exists. All inmates should be forced to work. Manual labor, hard strenuous work, 8 hours a day. They will grow to like and enjoy it quickly. Those who show motivation working? Give them benefits, or put them in charge of a small group of men. When returning to the cells after work, they should be physically tired. In other words, work them hard. If this was done and we went back to the old ways of actually doing hard time, the majority of men would do very well. And THAT ALONE would be a HUGE benefit and boost to rehabilitation. It would burn off frustration and energy bound up in younger men. Men would get along better. Men would strive to perform better than others, as a form of competition, also working as an "automatic form of rehabilitation". Understand? This entire situation in prison we have now, where men are forced to just lay around all day and eat, NEEDS to be put to an end. In closing, look at many of the before entering prison pics, compared with after pics. (Maybe 2 or 3 years after imprisoned) And you'll see all the once healthy, fit and trim males, in their "5 years later after pics", being obese, and maybe 50, 75 or even 100 pounds over weight. These men do not respond to sone Snowflake counselor in group, asking them about their feelings when they were committing their crimes. Or, "how their actions hurt someone emotionally"... 🙄🙄 All it would take to fix MANY of these men, and even if it didn't "fix" them, it would make for a much better prison environment, is to Put them to hard work, manual labor 8 hours a day, 5 days a week. Let them accomplish something, and see their ability themselves by what they can do when working. (Since many never have) Put this laying in bed all day routine to an end! All that being said, with the pathetic left politicians these days I don't think we'll see anything of the sort anytime in the near future!!! Or most likely even in the distant future!! The prison system has become nothing more than a money making business for government and selected agencies. Paying $100 a day per inmate and more, the longer the sentence the more guaranteed income! Life with no parole, is the one they get rich off of. And notice, its the most popular sentence there is today. Elsewhere in the world they don't even give this sentence!! Only here. And that $100 bucks a day income, guaranteed, till the guy drops. Pretty good racket eh? Talk about job security

However, this is just 1 more example of the gov.t circumventing a law that was put in place for a reason. It's like, 'well there was no intent to kill the victim, but we're gonna go ahead & say there was anyway,' i.e. "transfer" the intent, which is just legal jargon & total BS. I won't go into details, but at least in PA, they did the same thing w/DUI mandatory sentencing guidelines.

If you’re abusing your spouse, the only one responsible for the reputation you get from that is your own doing. If you want a “good reputation” and “pride” then act like a civil adult, get your childish temper under control, learn that no one is obligated to love you and be with you, not even your spouse. You’re not entitled to anything. If you don’t deserve love and affection then expect not to receive it. Also, no one is required to forgive you for your past bad behaviors. Sometimes an “I’m sorry” is nowhere near enough, especially if you keep repeating the same behaviors. If you’ve treated someone badly then you deserve whatever is coming to you. Fix yourself and make yourself someone worth loving. If not, prepared to be lonely. No one wants that in their life. No one! And if you’re someone who finds their partner regularly upset with how you treat them, you probably are in denial of your treatment of them, simply because you feel entitled, or you fell you “can’t help help how angry they make you”, or you feel like they’re required to forgive and move on, but you have no right to tell people how to feel about anything. Their autonomy is their own. Anyone that interferes with another human’s autonomy needs to get help because no one is going to put up with that forever. Again, you deserve to be alone. This goes for everyone, if you don’t like how your partner is behaving, then leave them. You have no right to change people. Not in any way. You can’t try to positively influence their behavior, but you cannot just make them submit to your narcissistic will. Even if what they are doing is wrong. Your choice is to stay or abandon the relationship. At the point where you’re trying to change or control your partner’s behavior, you become the one in the wrong. Go find someone more compatible. And those who are abusing others, stay away from relationships because you are not ready for one. Go get help before it’s too late. If you’re being physically abused by your partner, report them to the police and don’t let them get away with it because that is just enabling their behavior. They are the problem, not you. You can be happy again but you have to cut off contact with them. This goes for psychological abuse as well. You may not be able to call the police about the latter but you can get a restraining order for it. Stand your ground and take no one’s pathetic 💩.

The name Gallegos (being Spanish) is pronounced gy-AY-goss (long O). The double L is actually its own letter in the Spanish alphabet. The letter itself is pronounced ell-ye.

I get sooo frustrated when I hear about a suspect of a violent crime getting released while their trial is on going and they then commit another violent crime-like the guy who shot his neighbor, who had witnessed him shooting at the cop. I cannot imagine WHY on Earth a judge would look at this and let him free. He SHOT AT A COP WHILE IN A DANGEROUS CAR CHASE!!! What in world would make the judge think he would be responsible and abide by the law, and go to his court date??? He obviously doesn't give a care for the law, or have morals, or care anything about anyone other than himself!!! That Judge should be partially responsible for the murder he subsequently committed! I'm so sad for the victim's mom and family. The Justice System needs to be held responsible for these kinds of fatal errors in judgement! I bet they would be a bit more cautious about sending (obviously guilty) violent criminal suspects out on bail!!!! 😡😡😡

Anyone of these pieces of trash that kill someone should not have life in prison but should have their life taken! I believe in capital punishment and think every state should have the death penalty
