As a Filipino who interacts with legitimate tribes of the woodland American region, the rule of women was actually quite strong. Nations like the Cherokee, Lenape, and Mohawk were matrilocal; husbands would leave their home to live with the wife and her family. With this practice these towns and villages were made up of women all from the same family, with the elder women leading these societies as “clan mothers”. While these societies were lead by chiefs, no chief ever made important decisions without getting counsel from the clan mothers. Clan membership was also traced through the mother as well as actual indigenous identity at times. Even the most important male in a young boy’s life wouldn’t be his father; it would be his maternal uncles, the people of the same clan as him. Even decisions like war or the fate of prisoners (adoption or execution), was something for the women to decide. Great video as always, Kirby!

Even during British colonialism indian Queens fight and beheaded some British rulers, it's factual recorded history. Rani chennama, Rani laxmi bai, Rani Abbaka are few prominent names among many. FYI, the Republic of Indonesia is currently being led by the 7th President Joko Widodo. But most Indonesians would agree that our current political arena is being dominated by a single woman: Megawati, 5th President of Indonesia, and the daughter of Indonesia's founding father, Sukarno She is also the founder/longstanding leader of the largest political party in Indonesia and probably in Southeast Asia, the PDI-P. Thus made her the most powerful woman in the region

Don't know what you're talking about, they rule just like men do. In fact, based on statistics, they waged even more war than male monarchs / rulers. Not to say they are more bloodthirsty, but this myth of women ruling being harmonious, peaceful and perfect is dated and assumes that they know better than us men on the grounds that they are the "fairer" sex. They have proven that they are just as capable of bloodshed as male rulers. Money and territory gain supersedes all.

But, there's An older artist that belittled my friend's artwork because it isn't a realistic, he said that it's inaccurate and misleading due to it's leaning towards in Digital anime style like yours though yours are chibi style then, the argument we had about the art post depicting a prehispanic attire that happened rendered in Anime style too but, not the chibi ones, then I mentioned you in the comment because, you're the example of the historian that I know who's using Anime style for his Artwork, the guy stated that you're his good friend of him then, he suddenly change his perspective but, though he pointed it out that we are wrong because, me and my friend's art style. Even if we based it on boxer codex and Pigafetta's written documents. So is it wrong to use the Anime art-style such as chibi or shounen like to promote it to the young generations our clothings?. Female rule was viewed as a way to establish peace and stability after a period of tyrannical male rule or a period of instability - Seems also true for modern day Philippine history. Most people viewed the Marcos regime as tyrannical male rule so the Filipino people turned to Cory. The aftermath the Asian financial crisis brought a period of instability so Gloria became president. Do people see the current administration as a tyrannical male rule or did pandemic bring too much instability? Maybe their answer to this will influence their vote.

Spiritually speaking (gender aside), matriarchy can begin with a fundamental understanding of the cyclical nature of reality (God). Represented by the snake in many creation myths, the living cycle has a trinity of a beginning (head), a middle and end (tail). As above so below, the sexes were created in the image of God's cyclical nature where Mother is the head and opening to all beginnings and Father holds the tail to all endings (through which the sowing of seeds allow for the next great matriarchal rebirth).The joining of the two (symbolized by the Ouroborus or the marriage ring) is the sacred union needed in assuring the creation and continuation of new life cycles. To speak of the present day God as "Our Father" is simply an admission to our collective positioning within the bigger cycle. As all mothers have direct experience with the creator quality of birthing, so is the direct experience of rebirthing the divinity within (baptism) belong to that which is spiritually matriarchal. (John 3, verse 3-8). Sekhmet statues (ancient Egyptian) carry most of their weight in symbolic memory of what was a mother culture dedicated to the direct experience of baptism. As the leg shaped hairlocks extend from maternal breasts to the womb of rebirth, the lioness's head proportions are such that they highlight the bust of a second animal figure. The Lioness's ears as eyes and eyes as nose (nostrils) brings to life the figure of a reptile. 'Neath the halo headress of the solar egg, the lioness's egg fertilization process being internal (Set) and the reptile's egg fertilization process being external (Setting), such being key components to the safety of entering the trans-egoic or "born again" state. The life threatening fear associated with the predatory nature of a lion and/or crocodile encounter are reflective of the intense ego death experiences associated with the transpersonal awakening process. In spiritually matriarchal times, illumination could be seen as wearing the false beard (ancient Egyptian funerary "ego" death mask) as the high state of cyclical self knowing; high awareness of both our upper matriarchal half and our lower (later) patriarchal half (compared with a mini lower body replica, an "as above so below" tail end beard extension); in full recognition of her civilizational Underworld, her inevitable cyclical destiny. The male pharaoh wears his beard tapered in reverse, indicating a pointing upwards towards the patriarchal head, divine representative of God's tail end cycle. Mary Magdalene's anointing and wiping of Jesus's feet with her hair can then be seen as head to tail (toe) imagery as she descends her matriarchal head to his patriarchal feet, thus reenacting the high understanding of the divine cyclical process. (John 12:3) To carry the Ankh (now the female symbol ♀️) was perhaps to symbolically carry that upper and lower understanding. As the upper matriarchal womb symbolised the fertile birthing of civilization, below, the now Christian cross is carried to place emphasis on the lower (later) "End Times" Father principle of the great cycle. Lord Ganesha, the elephant headed Hindu diety, displays a cyclical head to trunk symbolism and points to the Mother head of his matriarchal elephant society. Ganesha (like the elephant) wears God's cyclical nature on his face. A whole temple was dedicated to the ancient Egyptian goddess Hathor, who is the matriarchal "Uterus" personified. kzbin.info/www/bejne/gGHQYa2AiKp5gZI "See all women as mothers, serve them as your mother. When you see the entire world as the mother, the ego falls away. See everything as Mother and you will know God." - Neem Karoli Baba

If you are going to say that woman is capable to lead a country, it's not about the fender it's about if he or she can lead the country m there are not all men are capable to lead and not all woman is also capable it depends. The fact that Sarah has more experience in Leading biggest city of Davao, where peace and order is a big question yet she is able to lead and work hard that eventually can be seen on her ratings. We know but, let’s be real here, those societies had systems in place that made lone queens exceptions to the rule; a system that SEA didn’t have for far longer. Lone queens in Europe were a once-in-a-century experience for quite a long time while lone female datus in SEA was just an average Tuesday morning.

@@JustAStranger2840 That comment is a bit disingenuous though, seeing as Datu is a title which encompasses all kinds of nobility. If you use it in the same way, having nobles of both genders in Europe and other Western countries is also just another day. Which it is.

@@Gabriel-bu6ln if I edit it to specifically queens/Rajahs/Lakans/Sultanas, will that suffice?
@Gabriel-bu6ln2 жыл бұрын
@@JustAStranger2840 Not quite, some of those are male titles (save for Queens and Sultana). Noblewomen / those belonging to the nobility had their own titles. That is: Hara (Queen or consort of a Rajah) Dayang (Court Lady or spouse of a Datu) Lakambini (Chief Consort) Binibini (Princess or Court Lady). So no, there are no female Lakans just like there are no male Dayang. Notice though, that the titles sound quite similar like Hari and Hara, Lakan and Lakambini or Dayang and Datu because the title is equal to each other in terms of status in society, but the distinction is made with respect to the gender and their respective roles.

How about Leni Robredo? Sara Duterte literally shaved her hair because she said that she would cut her hair to show off her "iner man", so how is that women empowerment?

@@YtSab Paano naging good representation ng kababaihan si Leni? Daming boss. Ang bilis nya mag point out how evil Marcoses are pero kasama sa hanay niya sila DeLima, Binay, at Trillanes. Partida sa mga biased MSMs pa namin nakikita yang mga balitang yan.
