Try not to cry. Cry a lot. This song always touches me. It was the first movie that I've watched in the cinema. I was 8 years old. My family and me had fled from the horrible war in Afghanistan. We were lost in a completely foreign country. I remember that I cried so much, I was so afraid without hope to feel home one day. I sent prayers to God... This song always reminds me of that start of a new life. It gave me hope! PS: living in Germany since 22 years and very happy here :) miracles can happen, if you believe...

Its really cool that this happens. To quote an article I read on it, "Different accents are often defined by their rhythms, intonation and vowel quality and length. For many accents, the tune and the rhythm of a song can constrain these qualities to the point where the accent seemingly disappears." I not think yt will let me post the link. Theres a lot of cool info out there about the topic. The coolest part for me is that deep down I think it really highlights that we are all the same people. The only difference being the cultural difference we are raised with.

[MIRIAM] [Verse 1] Many nights we've prayed With no proof anyone could hear In our hearts a hopeful song we barely understood Now we are not afraid Although we know there's much to fear We were moving mountains long before we knew we could [Chorus] There can be miracles when you believe Though hope is frail it's hard to kill Who knows what miracles you can achieve When you believe, somehow you will You will when you believe [TZIPPORAH] [Verse 2] In this time of fear when prayer so often proved in vain Hope seemed like the summer birds Too swiftly flown away Yet now I'm standing here [MIRIAM] Now I'm standing here [TZIPPORAH] With heart so full I can't explain [MIRIAM & TZIPPORAH] Seeking faith and speaking words I never thought I'd say [Chorus] There can be miracles when you believe (When you believe) Though hope is frail it's hard to kill (It's hard to kill) Who knows what miracles you can achieve (You can achieve) When you believe, somehow you will You will when you believe [Bridge] [HEBREW CHILDREN] Ashira l'adonai; ki gaoj ga-ah Ashira l'adonai; ki gaoj ga-ah Mi chamocha baelim adonai Mi kamocha nedar ba kodesh Nachita v'chas-d'cha am zu ga-alta Nachita v'chas-d'cha am zu ga-alta Ashira, ashira, ashira Ashira l'adonai; ki gaoj ga-ah Ashira l'adonai; ki gaoj ga-ah Mi chamocha baelim adonai Mi kamocha nedar ba kodesh Nachita v'chas-d'cha am zu ga-alta Nachita v'chas-d'cha am zu ga-alta Ashira, ashira, ashira! I've been such a skeptic fool in my adult life, but I had a hopeless breakdown recently. Nothing could make me feel happiness. I AM a Christian, but wasn't very good. My new found belief has raised my spirits like only the Holy Spirit can. I've never been so happy with so little. Thank you, Lord, for giving me enough. For giving me just what I need. Gratefulness has cured me of my human greed. It has made me see that life itself is a valuable gift. And it has helped me to be more compassionate towards others and myself. My God, I never really believed. Now that I think I do, I would sooner die a pauper with rich memories than a rich man with little substance. In my heart, God resides now. As I failed to realise once. Christian or Jewish, God loves us, dear brothers. Be grateful that we're creatures of substance. Created in God's image. It's what separates us from animals. It's what separates us from the unenlightened.
