Thank you for all the learnings you share here. The masterclass timing is 3:30 AM IST, so it's very difficult to attend this time. Will you be conducting such classes for learners from India please?

Been sitting in front of a mic for weeks trying to voiceover stuff and have struggled articulating the emotions in text even though I was the one to write it but your videos have been an absolute godsend in helping me slowly figure it out. ❤

Vinh I love hearing you talk. Anything you talk about feels enthusiastic all the time. I wish to communicate like you in the near future. And I also think that it's not only about the speaking techniques you've learned and I think it's also about a tip that you probably didn't give before: Think before talking and speak concisely. I think this is also a skill to learn which I'd love to hear about from you because this is my biggest problem. I start speaking and another thought interrupts me which I feel I need to explain before, and all my sentences get mixed up. Maybe it's about mind's clarity, too, I don't know. Love your work.

After watching this I realised that I connect with people so easily because I’m honestly so happy to meet them!😊❤️ My voice is kind of mousy and quiet, but I think my joy and smile make up for it.

Interestingly, I stumbled upon this "Voice-Personality relationship" once I got fluent in another language (English). I'm more thoughful and reserved in my mother tongue but immediately become frank and outspoken with English. I've noticed similar changes when I started learning other languages. Guess the contrast is a lot more obvious with different languages. And thanks to that exposure, I've been working on getting my tone and body language right for a while now. But hearing it from you gives me much needed reassurance and I'll definitely start putting more work on this. Thanks a lot :)

Yes... the voice is important. But in your two examples, except for the intonation and pronunciation, volume level was the same. If it was contrasting then the message would've conveyed even better I feel.😃

I've been in isolation , even before covid. I've forgotten how to talk. My voice volume swings from too low to sp loud people get upset and I can't even tell when it is. I basically talk through my nose. Forgotten how to use my throat. I breathe through my nose, mostly. I feel hopeless..

I would say the contrary. If you play the two samples muted, then you can see in the first clip your face was unexpressive and dull. While on the second one it was expressive and showed warmth. I can understand that voice plays a role, but can you teach or make videos how to be more expressive and show emotion in the face.

I'm not kidding. Some people literally told me I'm cringe and weird for training my voice. As if I'm some kind of fuckboi tricking people with fake ass voice. "Just be yourself" is one of the worst advice when it comes to fully realising the potential in your voice. There is so much your voice capable of. If you never train it, you will never be your truest self

I'm autistic, so I have an exaggerated sense of right and wrong. I have a really nasal (i.e. wimpy, nerdy, "Urkel"-style) voice. I can do other voices, and I can most certainly talk in a lower tone, what I call a "superman" or "anchorman" voice (I think that's because I'm really doing a Gary Owen's impression when I do it). But it's affected. It feels to me like it isn't me, like I'm pretending, faking. In other words, using a voice other than my natural voice feels like a lie. So I feel like I'll be called out on it. Impostor Syndrome rears it's ugly head.
