Singing deep and loud can definitely change your voice over time, I know because whenever I regularly sing high or low, my talking voice kind of molds to the pitch I'm getting used to singing in. You also need to avoid a raspy sound, so try singing with a vibrato.

Practice is the best thing. I hated my voice when hearing it in recordings and I sang very, very bad but I trained my voice to almost master level and I created the best version of my voice. But you need patience and free time to do this. That's the only and the worst cost, you won't have better voice after one day. Also, try to speak slower and take a lot of breaths to create tension not in throat, but already in the lungs - this way you will sound more louder and confident.

My father has a, seemingly, deep, raspy voice. I notice that when he's in conversation and his voice starts to get higher, he lights a cigarette. I'm pretty sure he depends on the smoke drying his vocal cords to maintain his baritone voice. I don't talk much. When I get engaged in conversation, my voice has a tendency to start higher. After a few minutes of saying a few words, I notice my voice Sometimes becomes deeper and raspier. I suppose that using my vocal cords promotes blood flow to that area, which makes the vocal cords swell up. I understand that large vocal cords produce the deeper sound. I think it helps to eat decently and stay hydrated, and to have a confident attitude in conducting your day and the communication that goes with it. Being nervous about being present amongst others and using your voice is normal. Do your thing and stop caring about what people may think of you. Witnessing your confidence can have a great influence on others, and help them conduct their life and enjoy themselves. I've struggled with my body type, looks, and voice. But have worked hard on myself and am happy with what I have.

Most people have never heard the sound of their own voice on recording. When they do finally hear it they say: 1. "I don't sound like that !" 2. "Do I really sound that bad?" Work with an audio recorder and read a text. Then experiment with different ways changing your voice until you sound good on recording. Once pleased, continuing practicing that way of speaking until it becomes natural. Many people have nasal or de-nasal-sounding voices. Some have whiny voices like the guy in this video. Some slur their words, or speak too fast while slurring words. Some have accents which are difficult to understand, and some have bad speech habits, such as saying "uh" or "um" at the end of each sentence. Or, they "up-talk" (raising the inflection of the last word at the end of their sentences), making them sound like a young preteen schoolgirl. The worst habit is inserting the word "like" in like, every like sentence, so their like sounding like an empty-head kid, who like has no clue about sounding like an adult. We learn to speak by imitating others around us, and this starts the day we are born. If your parents, siblings, family, friends and peer group all sound bad when they speak, you will also sound bad. If you don't like the sound of your voice or the way in which you speak, you need to retrain your voice and learn good speech skills. This is what professional voice actors, narrators, and announcers have done. Its also why they have credibility and authority when they speak. If you want to be credible, believable, and respected when you speak, you need to first, listen to and correct your bad voice and speaking habits. Then, learn how to sound credible, believable and respectable when you speak. I especially encourage women to follow this advice, because over the last fifteen years, too many grown women have been imitating young high school girls when they speak. This phenomenon started on reality TV shows, primarily with Paris Hilton, who discovered that when she spoke like a young empty-headed whiny schoolgirl, she got what she wanted from her parents and also from amorous boyfriends. When her show went off the air, her best friend and personal assistant at the time, Kim Kardashian, had been imitating Paris. Kim passed this whiny school girl sound on to her sisters, and when "Keeping Up With The Kardashians" became a hit TV show, all of their millions of young girl fans also started imitating the whiny young schoolgirl voice. Because mothers of the X,Y & Z generation girls tried so hard to be "friends" or "best friends forever" with their daughters, they too began to imitate the same young whiny schoolgirl voice. By the year 2022, there are huge numbers of grown middle-aged American women who unconsciously sound like young, empty-headed whiny schoolgirls when they speak. They have thin, young whiny girly voices and speak like teenagers. If you look on KZbin for any of the TV shows or movies from the 1940's,1950's, and 1960's, and listen to the voices of the actresses during those years, you will instantly recognize that the women, during those decades, sounded like grown women, not whiny little girls. They spoke with full-bodied middle range and lower range resonant voices. They sounded like grown women, not cartoon characters or the whiny young daughters of grown women. It all starts with recording your own voice. Until you do this and really listen to yourself reading or speaking in conversation with others, you will have no idea how other people really perceive you.
@dunkhustle2 жыл бұрын
Great insight
@alves96102 жыл бұрын
Thats interesting,but I think the real reason why woman and girls speak with the whiny voice is the same reason you mentioned with Paris Hilton,because they get what they want with that voice. Having succesfull shows like "Keeping up with the Kardashians" its for sure an influence but I think the "whiny voice effect" would be more or less the same without the shows

This is so well done and funny. Superimposing reference to Barry White and tantric meditation onto a lilting 50s veneer, priceless. And as expected, the vocal principles espoused align perfectly with what trained singers and stage performers are taught. A third principle, if I may, involves cultivating the illusion that the power of your voice starts not with you, but with the earth, and then rises up through your feet, up your spine, and then around the back of your head. The manly man owns the ground he stands on. Any ground, anytime.

1. The deepness of voice is primarily determined by length/thickness of vocal cords which is determined by prior testosterone. 2. Speaking in lower voice is ill for your throat and vocal cord strain. 3. You can develop your natural voice still. 4. Project from mask. Area on face of lips and bridge and sides of nose. Breath from diaphragm. Don’t breath chest, squeezes throat and weakens. Breath from belly instead.

I was never taken seriously internally. This is probably the reason for it. I've since left the company and make noticeably more, but if i didn't get discouraged and leave over that fact, I'd probably be district, if not regional manager, making exponentially more. I thought results is what motivates people, its simple things such as this that i paid little to no mind to. And I don't have impediments, or stutters, just nothing special. Live and learn huh.

Before you go all in on the voice training, make sure you've taken care of those insecurities of yours. It's nigh impossible to have a manly voice, if you feel insecure around people/unsure of yourself. The great thing is: Once you become more confident, your voice will naturally follow that and it will be easier to strengthen it.
