So happy to see kitty back, Narla, she's a beauty..and so relaxed around you, especially after not seeing you for so long..I have a kitty also..she's my girl..and best friend. The Narsasistic was mean and nice to her, but I would find her hiding when I would go somewhere if she was left alone with him..she never liked him.. That was a tell tale sign there, When the Narcissist discarded me, and left on our holiday, I discarded him for good. Changed the locks, and blocked him on everything.. he hoovered me twice, and of course he wanted something... That's when I had enough..been over two yrs now, I'm living my best life, freedom..is bliss . Love you NS, Chris .. Keep up the great work.

The more that I study the behavior of the narcissist, it seems to me, at the end of the day, the narcissist does ALL of the things that they do because they want to RID THEMSELVES of their feelings of shame and their INFERIOR feelings to other people! And It seems to me that the narcissistic rage is more about them being REMINDED that no matter what they do they cannot ESCAPE their shame and inferior feelings to other people and make these feelings disappear FOR GOOD!

So well articulated, Chris. Discard is so layered. I was breadcrumbed in the later stage of the relationship so saw it as my chance to discard. I did so loud and clear. Then his hoovers started. My fave was one where he triangulated me with someone who had rejected him. He said all this. Triangulation with a ‘chance’ for me to go back. So nice that he left the door open a tad. No thank you! As another listener said, “sorry…you look tired.” The subject is exhausting. They need to learn communication skills. We have to be the drama teachers as well. What a “lively” cycle it becomes. Discard in some cases needs to be well-timed and taken with utmost caution. It’s beyond human…my personal information was gifted over a good two years. The patterns were clear from the start. Yes! I developed so much emotionally and mentally while with the narc bc not only did I have to regulate and process my own emotions, but I ended up soothing, grounding, stabilizing and regulating my ex narc's too! After I left I struggled a bit due to betrayal trauma but less than 1 yr later I'm regulating and standing strong without him.
