I started the Tour de Fleece with great intentions, but then life happened and I quickly fell behind. So how do you handle it when what you want to do doesn't match up with what you can do?

Im a crocheter but really enjoyed your advice, thank you! At 73 Im finally giving myself grace to enjoy the moment, the process, the journey. Im missing most of my crochet goals lately, yet sitting back and accepting that Im behind in project, relaxing instead of stitching like a maniac, Im now actually ahead of my time frame. Less mistakes to frog, less exhaustion (yes racing through your stitching can leave one very tired!). And far more enjoyment.

Truth spoken here! We really should live in the moment. Thanks for a good perspective!

I agree with you 100%. I have a double failed fusion in the lumbar area of my back. I have constant nerve pain going down both legs. Some days I have no energy for anything. So yeah, I am also behind on TDF but I have to allow for grace myself. Sometimes life happens and its beyond my control. I accept that fact. 💜

Thank you Stephanie ❤️! I've been so busy I failed to meet mine also, but I really have had some very unexpected enjoyable time with my grandbabies. I'm usually very good with TDF but maybe next year I'll nail TDF again like previous years. Thank you!

Glad I’m not the only one not quite getting to my goals. I have gotten my new (old) wheel, now I am trying to learn how it works. I may have bitten off more than I can handle, she spins fast and pulls the fibre very quick. I will get her to play nicely!

for a fellow anxiety/depression fighter... this was a HUGE help! thanks for the reminder to be flexible with the timing of meeting our goals. I like goals to work towards with complete flexibility on how much actually gets done and how long. Deadlines are triggers, so I do my best to work with very far off deadlines so I am less likely to feel pressured. I enjoyed spinning with you today! Do what you can when you can and enjoy everyone else's pictures! Not everyone is working a full time job (or even part time) and can spend many hours a day at our wheels. Please don't feel like you're not doing enough because some of us are doing so much. Hugs!
