At 17, I was mean to both my parents. I knew I was being mean, I didn't want to be mean, but I literally could not help it. As soon as words left my mouth, I had regrets. I thank God for their unconditional love that got us all through it.

Same here doll. We all go thru the mean teen stage luckily everyone prepares us for that stage lol they knew we loved them ❤️
@ivonned326 жыл бұрын
I came from the complete opposite. I was neglected and malnourished and still didnt become mean to my mother nor my siblings. I felt compassion for her bcs she was kookoo. Now kids geowing with pretty normal and loving Parents think they have the excuse of being disrespectful and a bitter teenager. ( "Is what they do.") Not really! There are no consequences for kids here. That is why you couldn't control it. Parents need to stop blocking the consequences for their children's behavior. When someone knows nothing will happen to them; they will think is ok and will keep doing it.

Aw, that's so sweet of you to admit. My mom was the mean one. Yeah, a full-blown narcissist. All 4 of us kids were the ones walking on eggshells, every day we came home from school. You were lucky to have such loving parents.

Your mom obviously raised a good child for you to admit it. I know my daughter doesn't mean it either. Leanna is describing my daughter to a T except she is about to graduate from Auburn.

My first baby, my son, was born with a halo. I swear, he did NOT cry, slept thru the night, grew like a weed. Even as a toddler, he was just a model child, I almost never had to discipline him. So, I thought that's how ALL kids were. Then my daughter was born. With invisible horns. She scared me to death by being born 10 weeks early, right before Christmas. I know now she just wanted her presents. The day I was on the phone and turned around to find her flicking the keys off my laptop WITH A SPOON?!?! I knew I was making up and then some for my angel baby. How two kids with the same parents, in the same house, can be so different, I'll never know. I love them both dearly, and she has happily grown out of MOST of her evilness, but I still see it lurking, lol!!!
