I just found your channel and I am so grateful! My husband of 23 years left back in May and is now seeing a "Life Coach" who just told him that he needs to "let go of the marriage". He checks off a lot of the boxes for MLC - vilifying me, re-writing history, substance use, confusion, etc. I am so scared for me and my kids.

You can't teach apology, that makes know sense. People either have it or not.

I would think the genuine apology needs to come from the person’s own heart. If someone is telling or teaching them what to say. I would think the other spouse would have a hard time believing it’s genuinely coming from them. Like is he just saying what he thinks the wife wants to hear. Just for the sake of getting another chance or visa versa.

Yes trying to forgive is a daily process. I’m trying to not be resentful and angry at all the hurt, embarrassment, financial loss and pain we have suffered because of his infidelity.
