I love that Nujabes is getting more recognition. If yall dont know, along with J Dilla, hes known as the father of Lofi music. He has many great songs that can never be skipped. (I reccommend Lady Brown) And other than that, this song saved me from suicide and it helped me calm down whenever i had those types of thoughts, he will always have a special place in my heart.

Like many, I was introduced to Nujabes through Samurai Champloo. Growing up as a Hip Hop head this was almost right up my alley. It's through his music, which really got me looking into other Japanese producers; such as Kenichiro Nishihara, Shin-Ski, DJ Okawari, etc. Although he died young, his music will forever be a timeless.

I remember showing Nujabes to an audio engineer friend of mine around 15 years ago. He told me that he devoured his discography and told me "this guy is up to something" and then I told him he had passed away. Life being life, we've drifted apart and haven't talked in years, but recently he reached out and told me that he listens to lofi chill hop music, that it's all thanks to nujabes, and he is thankful that I showed him his music.
