***** To be honest, I can't really pinpoint how I managed to overcome it entirely... But I think one of the biggest factors that helped me was when I liked this guy a lot when I was in middle school. It was super awkward between us for a long time because we knew we liked each other but both of us were just so scared to approach each other hahaha. But a friend of ours helped us talk to each other and the more I got to know him him, I became more comfortable and understanding that there's nothing to feel anxious of. We became best friends and we're still together to this very day. Over time, I managed to step out of my comfort zone bit by bit and began to even make friends with his friends which I never even dreamed I could do. So my suggestion is try to get to know just one of them first? Probably better if it's a friend through one of your friends or family etc

I worked at an office with only guys and I am so awkward around them, and one of the guys was having a baby, and so he had a baby shower on the day I wasn't working. But as I walked in the hallway to go back home, one of the guys Mario, nice guy Mario, invited me to have some pizza with them. Mind you I don't really talk to them like that when I'm at work so when I walked in not on my shift, they looked at me like I was wearing nothing but a thong. I got a slice of pizza and stood there awkwardly and they got silent when I was in there. I wanted to crawl in a hole and die.

when I was little I only talked to girls, in middle school I would talk to one or two, now I mostly hang out with guys. both of my best friends are guys, my dad's like "why do you only talk to guys!?" its not I OnLy talk to guys I just hang out with them more often >_> (plus by now most girls are just drama )

***** what I don't really get is what is the difference. To me, friends are friends, I'm the same with all of them. I get along really well with women and, once I get over my problems and we're ok, with guys and I don't find anything incredibly drastic about those friendships. Until you get a crush on one of them, they somehow find out, you can never talk to them again. Then when you try to, it's really awkward, so you have to move to another country but then leave all your other friends behind. You cry about all the great memories you had with them, and wish you never told anyone that you liked them. Each day you text them hi, or try to DM them, asking about their day, telling them that they don't have to get creeped out, you never actually fancied them. They respond with "oh, okay.." And next thing you know, you get a call from Alex, telling you that the guy you just texted actually likes you. You change your number, name, and move countries again.
