Oh god imagine being married to someone who is constantly embarrassing and saying dumb things 😅! I’ve had my share of weird dates so I know about this but clearly I didn’t marry them it could always be worst! I do feel bad for women married to buffoons!

My partner thinks I'm embarrassing when I do "awkward" things that "make others uncomfortable." Ie. I ask for help at a store, make a joke that no one laughs at, I'm too loud when I talk, stand at a place that blocks an entrance, spill something on myself, walk in a way that's awkward, mumble to myself, sometimes the way I dress, and so on. It's HUMILIATING that they think normal things I do is embarrassing to the point where others are uncomfortable. They will also visibly show emotions of being frustrated with me. They say it's because they have "social anxiety," but it's not fair that they call me "embarrassing" and start bullying me because they're worried about what others think. It feels like they prioritize other people's emotions over mine when they tell me I'm "embarrassing" and start rolling their eyes... or worse, storm off! Is it really THAT serious what other people think? Should I feel embarrassed by an adult who is so preoccupied with the judgments of others? Of course not, because I care more about my partner's feelings than that of strangers. I'm just being myself, not offending anyone, and the comments hurt.

How does this effect your self-esteem ? It's ruining mine. Especially because I try really hard to build up his self-esteem.

It depends. I dated a woman who got waaaay too drunk. She just said its my fault for caring what others think.

I'm not embarrassed by my partner. If he is embarrassed of me then why pursue or continue ....
