Excellent advice, Pam, aka, Miss Brilliance! Most often, not being invited to something is a true blessing in disguise! While for some it might feel hurtful at first to not be included in social events hosted by others, for many its actually a positive thing in the long run, allowing you to focus on your own pursuits, prioritize quality relationships with genuine, like minded, unconditional people, and avoid unnecessary drama or obligations associated with pretentious people in social circles that come with conditions. When you're not relying on others to entertain you, you become more confident and comfortable with your own company and can develop hobbies and interests independently that often inspire people who are observing you from a distance to want to know how you found such peace and joyfulness in the things that you do.

I totally agree. Sometimes we may get invited to help out, not just because they enjoy our company but they know we don't mind getting our hands dirty, nothing wrong with offering a helping hand but there is more to a person than lending a helping hand all the time. If you have had a misunderstanding with the person and they never gave an apology in the right way, then you're invited to a party of theirs, it's about enjoying being around you. Some people need a maid than a friend.
