Getting rid of people recording others in the gym for attention and/or calling men "gym creeps", should be a high priority. 90% to 99% of people in the gym are just minding their own business. Pretty sure everyone at the gym benches more than me (just 95lb) but then again, not everyone had a shoulder replacement surgery. Don't compare yourself to others, compare yourself to yourself. Can you bench more than you did last week? Last month? Last year? Ever? Great. I bench more than I did after my surgery, which was literally benching a wooden dowel.

One time, when I was just starting lifting I pulled 225 for reps on dead’s for the first time. I weighed about 155 and looked weak which I truly was but I was the strongest I’d ever been at that point. I overheard a much bigger man get down on himself over it and say to his friend… “did you see that, I can’t pull S*#% off the ground, but I bet he was benching at least 200 lbs which I couldn’t do and could barely do now as I’m a genetically legs focused lifter. The long and the short of it is everyone is different and what that guy had in upper body strength I wanted and what I had in legs strength he wanted. You are who you are for a reason and you don’t need to compete with strangers. Do the work and see where it goes and be happy with yourself for doing the hard things you didn’t do before.

I often feel like the guy when i do cardio. I always have people left and right of me who are running/stepping MUCH faster and more intense than me. I feel like they often smirk in my direction to make fun of that. The thing is: My machine is on level 18... they are on level 3. My cardio session on that machine is 70 minutes... theirs is 15. If i would go down on their level and time.... oh boy would they "lose" Same here in the video... she knows nothing about the guys gym routine. Besides the fact that he does a much better smoother posture and clean lifts.. while she is not... maybe he does alot more sets than her? Maybe his whole workout is three times as much as hers and that like the last of his 15 stations or something? How could she know? Please let people do their workouts in peace.... im not going there for you, im not going there to compete with anybody... the gym is my "Me-time" and im not interessted in competing or doing a "duell" at all.
