Serylda provides both lethality AND %penetration. If you build it later in the game serylda if far better for assasins than LDR as it grants you around 5% points less penetration as a trade of 15 lethality which is better unless target has ≥300 armor. And targets with this many armor points are most likely not your target anyway. And that is when we ignore 30% slow on all abilities that serylda gives too, unlike LDR that has literally no passive now

You also have to consider that lethality is applied AFTER the armor penetration % (so in this case 40% of ldr). And since lethality is stronger the lower the enemy armor is that means that % arp will enhance the lethality effect. Allways build ldr/serylda kids

I don't think either item can replace the other, as Collector is an early game item and LDR a lategame one. Which means on champs that would go Collector you can and probably should still build LDR 5th or so.

LS' argument hasn't always been valid. it's the first time LDR has had 40% arpen, and Collector is at an all time low in terms of lethality. for the longest time, the damage difference for mid game wasn't that big of a deal

I wish for an Item Analysis between Blackfire Torch and Liandry's Torment. That would be nice :) Imo Blackfire Torch works in the same way like Yun Tal does, enhancing a stat you already have. But I think that even with alot of AP Blackfire Torch deals less burn dmg than Liandry's 2% max HP burn.

blackfire torch definately meant to be bought if you have high ap values. So if you play like amumu or smth, you shouldnt get it, but i can go liandry, or on morde... But with 800Ap karthus, blackfire can be nice, especially if you hit like 3-4 champs and gain 12% more ap.

Depends on champ like how LDR isn't good for Varus, and also on team. More AOE/multi-targeting adc (ex. MF, Jinx, etc.) = build mortal, more single-targeting adc (Vayne, etc.) = don't build mortal. But most of the times Tanks/Bruisers/Mages/AD Casters etc. should go anti heal and ADCs should build something else. It's just not worth the money

PTA is generally good for short trades, u proc it, deal dmg and get out or kill. Conquerer is only good if you can stack it, and keep it stacked over a long fight. That means if the enemy team is squishy, meaning short fights and trades, PTA is probably better. If they have beefy tanks or bruisers, you can easily stack Conquerer so it is more valuable in drawn out fights. Hope that helps for general understanding :)

one of the trickier parts is that lethality provides flat penetration and percent penetration does not work well with lethality. If taken in a vacuum, LDR will almost always beat flat penetration when comparing single items. The story will change when taken more holistically. Assuming 36 lethality with two items, an additional lethality item of 18 brings 70 armor to 16 Assuming 36 lethality with two items, LDR’s 40% penetration brings 70 armor to 20.4 LDRs percent penetration will only get worst with more items, for squishy targets, which is the main focus of assassins. Coupled with the fact that crit is less desirable than flat AD, and other lethality items have better passives, lethality is the optimal choice to stack for assassins against squishies

Can you please do a video on why not to build the collector (or perhaps rather when to actually build it). It's not a BAD item it just annoys me seeing people build it on champions where it just doesn't do much. Like for some champions like samira it's nice early game because your opponents don't have much armor so you can snowball faster while still giving you crit, but if you don't need crit/don't basic attack a lot why not just get a lethality item with better stats lol (I get it though. The execute is very satisfying even if it doesn't do much. I love building heartsteel because it's very satisfying even if it probably not actually very good)

%pen items should be tailored to punish building bonus health and armor and should not be strong against squishy at all. 40% armor pen against someone with 50 armor is still 20 armor shred. Thats way more than any lethality item. Maybe they can change it to %bonus armor pen like in some past seasons, but we can have 60-70% bonus armor pen instead of 45%, and also give LDR its giant slayer passive back

As a math guy my self, I have been saying this for a while, the item has been broken for years. Even back then, if a target had 300 hp more than you, it basically always dealt more damage than Collector, which as an ADC was basically everyone. Samira was at 300 hp an 100 armor, but even more her collector was a rarity to ever be good. (Remember Samira has high AD scalings. Most other ADCs stopped just like now at 70 armor.)

Lol no. With 5000 hp and 1000 armor you would have 5000*(1+1000/100)=55000 effective health, with 600 armor - 35000. And 55k is 57% more than 35k. And somebody in your team could also have black cleaver, and many champions also have built-in 20-30% armor pen, etc etc...

Collector is the better first item because it has lethality so u deal more physical dmg, not just auto. With only 25% crit chance, u arent critting a lot, so the value of crit dmg is kinda low. So IE should be 2nd or 3rd to boost your AA dmg.

I’m a qiyana main and i still build lord dominik instead of grudge, its not that i don’t need the slow its just that it is safer economically wise. Some patches ago i used to build infinity edge and collector too because infinity edge amplifies Red-Q crit damages and was so fkn broken.

So if we have 40% of x needs to be bigger than 18 lethality 4x/10 > 18 // *10 4x > 180 // /4 x > 45 So this is JUST a COMPARISON between lethality and %armor pen Where 40%armor pen is more effective than 18 lethality vs the targets that have more than 45 armor If you want to be a super nerd and be like "But the other stats like AD, Haste etc 🤓" Well you can just see that if a target has 60 armor, LDR shred is 15 armor above 45, so it is gold equivalent to 15 lethality Serrated Dirk is 1000, 2 longswords are 700 so there is 300g for 10 lethality which means 1 lethality = 30g So 15lethality is 450g which is equal to 12.86AD So kind of like: 45+12.86 AD = 57.86 AD 18 lethality 25% crit BUT mind you this is just example for 60 Armor, you are free to generalize this for any x armor value : )

If enemy team has some way to heal in combat, mortal reminder is viable. Just think like this: 10% armor pen help u deal more dmg than 40% amount they heal? If no, get mortal reminder, if yes, get LDR. Also anti heal is kinda cheap, u can ask any teammates buy 800 gold antiheal thing for u
