My friend use to live on a farm and had a dozen+ barn cats, which are just semi domesticated, large house cats. He said he came home one night from work and there were about 10 or so of the barn cats dragging a full deer carcass behind the barn. He wasn't sure if they took it down but he was sure they ate it.

The deer would eat the cat. The cat was not looking for trouble though. Cats tails swell up when they are in attack mode. Nonetheless, that deer would have made quick work of that cat, then ate it. Yes deer do eat meat. They also hunt, kill and eat other animals. deer are vicious. Most people do not realize that

@@davidgreenwood6029 Yeah, deer commonly come into neighborhoods and take out pets. You can find several videos of them doing it. Deer are cautious, but they're not actually scared of anything. Deer will run right out of the woods and attack people. The video that shows a great example, is the When Animals Strike clip of deer attack. One of the more famous news cases is the one where the two men were fishing, and a big buck come up a couple times, then attacked them. What the men did not know is the deer was known in town for being the deer everybody fed corn to. They did not have corn, and it angered the deer.

This reference dates you. Of all the looney tunes, I really enjoyed Foghorn Leghorn. They don't make cartoons like they use to. We have a cat that chases dogs, the dogs run away probably thinking , " what the flip, he's supposed to run from me." He also attempted to go after a wild turkey, my husband stopped him and said no they have beaks and talons. He was outside early one morning, a raccoon appeared next to him. I think he hissed at the raccoon and the raccoon hissed back, I think Smokey, cat, thought you don't hiss at me and cuffed him and the raccoon cuffed him back, tore part of his ear. We took Smokey to the vets as we were concerned about rabies he was current with his shots. The vet said the critters you should be concerned with regarding rabies are bats. We chose not to have his ear stitched thus he has a clip on his ear, he wears the scar on his ear as a badge of honor, I think he goes around telling others " I took on a raccoon". That sort of slowed him down until he was completely healed.
