My friend use to live on a farm and had a dozen+ barn cats, which are just semi domesticated, large house cats. He said he came home one night from work and there were about 10 or so of the barn cats dragging a full deer carcass behind the barn. He wasn't sure if they took it down but he was sure they ate it.

I forgot to mention, my cats hate each other and would never work as a team, so each one of them thought they could take the deer down by itself. Jack, the cat in the deer's path froze and got as low as he could to submit, but Bruce and Jasmine followed and continued their delusion.

Seen this scenario play out in my backyard before, never seen the deer approach the cat though, cougars are the main predator on deer in this part of the world and deer will always run from any feline.

This is adorable, it’s like the cat was acting like a stealthy mountain lion until he realized the gig was up. Then the curiosity came over both of them. Luckily the curiosity didn’t kill the cat here.

as a lifelong cat owner, that was full blown hunter mode... lmao...they dont often realize how big things are till they are right on top of them. OR that cat lives with dogs since it was little and is like, "that LOOKS like rufas, but it dont smell like rufas, hmmmm" ive seen farm cats bite horses legs when they felt the horse was invading its space lol..i always am like omg dont get kicked dont get kicked dont get kicked
