Yeah this was kinda a dumb vid. Cyber dragon just needs one good hit. What good are floating when they go over 9000! And I Hamp/kaiju a monster negate that zeke can return to me if I don't finish the job. Of course there are weaknesses but it's hard to feel invincible in this game. Super poly was always proof of that unless it can't be fusion material, and there's the monarchs storm forth, floow winds or soul exchange for those types. You really don't wanna be on the receiving end of a water floowandereeze creature swap/aoi combo as they go back to hand and count as normal summons which are harder to negate.

@@lamsdota31 I would agree with you if it was still 2021, but 2024 decks are (mostly) not solitaire anymore. Konami started changing card design so that interaction is more layered, but individual card value is lower, especially now that most generic ED negates are banned (and the only big one left only negates monster effects.) Now most of your endboard either negates just one type of card (monster, spell, trap) or they do something else that's disruptive but doesn't lock you out of the game, like popping a card. Turns also don't take as long anymore, because the combos to get your endboard pieces are on average shorter. e.g., Yubel makes their boss monster in as little as 0 activations, but usually it's gonna be Normal Lotus, Lotus effect, Summon Spirit of Yubel, Spirit set Nightmare Pain, Nightmare Pain effect targeting Spirit to add Squirmer, Spirit effect to summon Yubel, Squirmer effect to pop Yubel and summon itself, Yubel effect to summon Terror Incarnate, Link Terror Incarnate and Squirmer for Cross-Sheep and use the Spirit and Yubel in grave to make Phantom. Sounds long but it's literally 1/2th the length of a Drytron combo and 1/3rd the length of an Adamancipator combo. (You can extend a little from there by using Cross-Sheep and Squirmer to get materials to make a Yama, then make Soul of Rage or something, but that's basically the full combo. On MD where they have two Phantom, you can go through a Phantom to add a Muckraker for some protection, go through a Sharvara at some point to search that Unchained Trap, but that's basically it.) And what's the end result? A monster negate, a pseudo-pop from Soul of Rage, and battle protection for the Soul of Rage and any extenders still on board thanks to Nightmare Pain, plus maybe that Unchained Trap pop. 3-4 points of interaction with lower impact than omni-negates. Powerful? Yes. But not solitaire. You can actually crack that board without Forbidden Droplet/Dark Ruler and Evenly Matched, and there were tons of choke points where an Ash Blossom would force them to go into a plan B and end on only Phantom with nothing else. Now if only they'd ban Shifter and the other lingering floodgates, cuz those are basically just as bad as a 4-negate synchro board.

Its still the same but decks have gotten more consistent in putting out more negates. I do actually hope that konami is going to slow the game down with a master rule change. Since youve stopped playing theyve freed the extra deck from the link restriction and since then the game has gone insane. Lifting the restriction without draw back has probably been the worst decision made by konami for the health of the game.

@@HiroofDeath Yea that change was about a week after I stopped playing, so I heard about it and had flashbacks to when I played before link. I remember tat everything was good, but Synchro was miles better than anything else in the game. I can only imagine how it was to set those decks loose.

@@shundoraud7644synchros are probably the most fair and the worst mechanic right now. Fusions can basicly fuse directly from deck and say can overlay on top of each other

If it wasnt extremely short duels it was yatalock making people watch the other person play the game until you lost. At least nowadays the suffering is quick.

@@Raminator243 reminds me of MTG, where you can literally see sweaty neckbeards go "So you're a new player? Let me teach you" only to pull out a 1000$+ deck and absolutely demolish the new guys, which makes them never come back again. When the rules are so complex and numerous that you need a ton of time to learn them, it's easy to just come out of nowhere abusing some obscure rule that no one was prepared for.
