It’s so crazy, about a year or two ago I was financially supporting my bf and I as he was going through depression and anxiety. We are both rooted in our faith and I believed that God had blessed me with the resources I had at the time to take on that role. My bf didn’t ask or expect it but I felt as if God blessed me with the opportunity to do so. Hearing your story really spoke to me. I love you Both. This is amazing Gabe! The raw emotion and transparency are one of the reasons you and Jess are one of my favorite Christian couples to watch. Both of you do not have to express your faith and dependence on each other and God through words because the actions and lifestyle express it just as well. I also appreciate this because it breaks down the stereotype that the man ALWAYS has to support the family financially. Yes, God calls the man to be the man of the household and be the provider but I think it is beautiful that you can also admit that you need help. Your career is more than just making money, you should be pursuing a career that makes you happy and you enjoy doing. Every job has its ups and downs and some days are harder than others but the love and fulfillment you get from that career will always outway the hard days in the end. The joy of the LORD ( not the approval of man) is YOUR STRENGTH! And sometimes you might have to take a break to refocus and rearrange and straighten your mental health. And there is nothing wrong with that. Marriage is a teamwork and sometimes one people might have to support more than the other. Praying for both you and Jess. Keep striving to make content that God is calling you to make and that makes YOU happy. Can't wait to see what else is to come!

Purpose - such a great topic .Purpose is not about success; that is not what is important. I am disabled by chronic health issues and even when being bed bound, God showed me how I still had purpose. And that dude is right- nothing is more glorifying to God than anything else. It was so hard for me to go from being a pediatric speech language pathologist , changing kids lives, to a nothing in a bed (that's what it felt like anyway). But God can use anyone and for me it started out by being open. He led me to be a prayer warrior as I had the time to pray for others when most people didn't have the time to pour into prayer like I did. It was hard to see that both things God called me to at different times in my life, were of equal value to God, but it is true. Well done on your series, Gabe. Rooting for you.

I love seeing a christian couple being represented like this! I've been seeing such unhealthy, toxic christian relationships in my own life, specifically in my previous church. Those were the things that caused me to leave that church in the end and seeing THIS! IS EVERYTHING! What was being said at 4:00 really spoke to me. I was constantly feeling burnt out in my previous job and when my husband and I moved to Spain, I took a step back to gather myself while my husband has taken over everything financially. Him doing this has allowed me to collect my thoughts and pursue my passions. It was a hard to accept but overall for the sake of my mental health, it was the best decision.
