Cain offered fruits. Abel offered an animal. A fruit was involved in the first sin in the Garden of Eden. An animal was killed and its skin was used to cover Adam and Eve in the Garden of Eden after they had sinned. Maybe there was an animal offering requirement (a symbol of the correct sacrifice for atonement), and that was why Cain's offering was not accepted but Abel's was. Maybe the issue wasn't about the quality of Cain's fruit (though quality is important), but about obeying instructions for the correct symbolic offering unto God.

As for the other sons and daughters Adam and Eve had outside of Cain and Seth we don't really know what happened to their bloodlines. I would like to think some of them married into Seth's but we are not given details other then they were indeed in existence. Sadly though with what kind crisis the Pre Flood age had with the nephilim taking over the world and going on a unrestrained chaotic wars and murders and corrupting Yahuah's world, I think most of them were wiped out tragically. The pre Flood times were not good times to experience life when those nephilim were around.
