Everyone knows that Boomrats are the ideal exotic pet. If one dies, the entire colony is going to be upset, not just the person who bonded with it.

Most of the creatures and plants in the game were bioengineered with a purpose I particularly found it fascinating that even when terraforming distant planets and introducing an earth-like enviroment, there are some still some things that are just not reasonable to replicate. Such as coal and fossil fuels The world you play on is a terraformed rock that has been adapted for human life. It didnt evolve, it might only be a few hundred or thousands years old. Metals are not uncommon on foreign planets, yet in rimworld we mine compacted steel. Not iron, this is not naturally occuring ore, this is recycled pieces of ancient machinery, ship parts and debris that has crashed and been buried on this planet. In the absence of oil, boomalopes were engineered to be introduced to these enviroments as a renewable substitute for gasoline or diesel. Similarly, Muffalo are not a real animal, and their unusually insulating fur and strange coloration makes it obvious they are also bioengineered Likely as an ideal farm animal to be raised by human colonies, as its fur and wool is very good at what it does, serve as pack animal, docile in captivity and more then ready to defend itself in the wild. In a previous version of the game they were also able to be milked for a very small amount of milk. This has since been removed and evey other animal now only produces 1 thing. For example camel hair used to also be a "wool" grown by dromaderies, now it only gives you milk. Thrumbos are likely a passion project, or simply a symbol of great wealth meant to serve as companions or war beasts to the ruling class of a (likely cold) planet. Their naturally sharp horn, unreasonably strong skin (best material in the game for clothes). This is speculation but the difficulty you face when trying to tame them is likely on purpose, maybe they're engineered to be especially distrustful to people unless certain conditions are met. It would make total sense for them to only respond positively to very specific xenotypes, or chemicals, or hormones or behaviours, restricting their use solely to those who know the secrets of keeping this beautiful and dangerous goliath of a creature I wouldnt be surprised if out there, theres a xenotype whose sole purpose is to bond with thrumbos for the purpose of taming them. Similarly to highmates and their ability to psychically bond with their partners

Two things; How did I not know about toxelopes and waste rats?! Anyway, another difference with wargs to wolves (which makes them closer to short haired dogs like great danes and pitbulls) is their shoulderwidth. Wolves out in the wild look like stick figures from the front, their legs come out from below their chest, not the sides. Wargs, considering the front texture are the bodybuilders of canines.

I enjoy the idea that the Thrumbo is the most enigmatic animal. Sure people would try and explain its origin by using the established lore of Rimworld, being "it was made long ago by humans, it's not an alien, etc..." I don't buy that. I think the game made it mysterious for this reason: Maybe, just maybe, it is a legendary creature that has its own origin, remote from human intervention or whatever else. I like the spirituality of it.

Taming a Thrumbo is luck basically, the best case is when one of your pawn has the taming inspiration and a Thrumbo happen to spawn before the inspiration expire.

Hi youtube guy. I don't watch your videos, I listen. The reason is because, the character you use is reminiscent to political KZbinrs. Frankly political KZbin is the bottom of the barrel and your characters' "animations" aren't interesting to watch anyhow. It's a still image over what could be interesting game play. Why bother with the character? Your voice has enough character anyhow. I think your content is quality enough to stand on its own without the gimmick. 🤷‍♂️

Hello. Personally, I believe that this avatar has become iconic for this channel. As Felidae mentioned, it helps convey emotion and a personal presence which I couldn't do otherwise without using a facecam, something I'm not interested in doing at the moment. While it is true that the avatar might potentially cover gameplay, which in my opinion is not the case, as its presence on the left corner of the screen is non intrusive and the avatar is never present during "intense" moments, these videos were never meant to showcase breathtaking Rimworld gameplay. There are plenty of channels that do that already. I don't believe my voice has enough "character" or uniqueness to it as it is, and making use of my avatar is not only helpful but also fun, plus I wouldn't necessarily call it a gimmick, as the use of vtubers, png-tubers or other similar avatars is rather common nowadays in the KZbin community. In any case, thank you for your comment, I understand your point of view and I hopefully managed to answer your question and show you my point of view. :)
