Always love the positivity you bring to your demos! That’s definitely one of the pedals that sounds more like an old Fender reverb amp, at least on KZbin. Thanks.

Spring is my favorite verb for guitar, but I've never bought a pedal for it because everything I've heard has been disappointing in realism. But this one sounds pretty damn convincing. Just might have to get this.
@madamp886 ай бұрын
Convinced me to buy it. I agree, inspiring sounds from this pedal - even without a real spring. Sounds like records to me and that's the best kind of pedal :-)

I think if I were in the pedal business I'd get you to sell them. Your enthusiasm is contagious. Mr. Black should ramp up production on that reverb pedal, they're going to start selling now.

Fantastic pedal! I just bought the JHS Tank spring reverb and it's really springy but not as much as this one.. The tank does have an effects loop so you can add any effect you want to the tail of the reverb, have you demoed the JHS? Thanks!

How does this compare to Boing? Was there volume loss when engaged? Also, how does this sound with distortion? Sorry for the barrage of questions. I'm shopping for a verb pedal. Any comments appreciated. Thanks.

Just received this pedal and I'm a bit disappointed. If you notice most of the good tones in this review the settings are in the middle or below. If it's crank up to get surfer tones it's a sloppy mess. I'm on the search for a musical surfy reverb pedal, next will be the True Spring. If that one doesn't do it I'll end up keeping my Chicklet Chinese clone Spring Reverb pedal. I'm having a hard time believing a $30 pedal can beat pedals costing six times as much. It's not perfect but is very transparent and actually enhances my tone. I really enjoyed this review but I'm learning quickly that hearing pedals on youtube is a lot different than actually playing them yourself in your setup. It's all personal taste sorta like audiophile gear etc.

Too bad you didn't bond with this one. Have you thought of using a verb pedal that actually uses a spring tank? You can try the Anasounds Spring Reverb: that thing goes crazy surf splashy! I also like the Crazy Tube Circuits White Whale for something pretty nasty and old school sounding.
@atomlow4 жыл бұрын
@@JayLeonardJ I will check out the Anasounds Spring Reverb. I was trying to put a cap on the price I'd pay for a reverb pedal but I guess I'm getting up there in price with the True Spring if that doesn't work out. The only real spring pedal I've tried is the Danelectro Spring King. It wasn't bad, I liked it, but no one mentions it's like putting an arched top guitar in front of your amp and turning it up. It howls uncontrollably. That had to go back. It seemed only good for low volume and recording purposes. Thanks for the reply.

Well, after playing with the Source Audio True Spring for a couple of days I'm finding it's the one. At first, I was a little put off by the complexity of the pedal with the tweak ability options in the software you can download. But, after messing with the software and setting up tremolo options it's really pretty straightforward. I doubt I'll go to the computer much to tweak the pedal but it's all there when I need it. Setting the knobs pretty much in the middle gives great surf tones with the tank spring toggle option, at this point, little adjustments to the knobs make a pretty big difference. My favorite thing to do is switching between the tank and short spring toggle setting if I don't want as much drip.

Which ‘chicklet’ reverb pedal is that?

Ripper of a demo and a pedal. Kinda like my ms30 verb (hall I think) but often try and coax springy tones from it /
