Hey buddy! Awesome update, thank you! Do you mind sharing which sites/libraries you have had succes with for the exclusive buyouts? Thanks again.

Hi Evan, Thanks for the videos and the tips! I have a quick question. I have my tracks registered with BMI. I’ve had some track sales on Pond5 recently and all of them have been “individual licenses.” In your own experience, have you ever had any individual license sales end up on royalty statements, or do they have to be business and premium license sales?

Thank you. I enjoy your channel and hope to have one just like it but in my way.

Hi evan , how are u ? i have a little question .. Im registered with BMI as Pro . an as you i use too pond5 to selling my music , i would like to know if its necesary to register ever single work individually on BMI or just putting BMI in the edit page of the track its also protected to gain back end royalties . Thank u so much !

Hi Marcelo - great question! You'll need to register every song with BMI in order to get paid backend royalties for public performances of the song. However, registering a song with BMI is not the same as protecting it for copyright purposes. If you want to copyright your song, you need to do that separately.

have been debating joining audiosparx for a while. Is it worth it? how often to do you get sales?
@StockMusicMusician5 жыл бұрын
The 2 costs for AudioSparx are the time it takes to upload, and the fact that they can use your songs forever, non-exclusively. In the last year, I've had 2 sales on AudioSparx, but I make about $10 a month through instore streaming. I also know that I'm due to make some money through streaming (my songs have been streamed about a million times on Spotify). But with AudioSparx, everything takes a really long time to get back to you. So even after a year and a couple hundred dollars, it's hard to say.

@@StockMusicMusician How many tracks do you have with them that are being streamed?
@StockMusicMusician5 жыл бұрын
I’ve got hundreds of songs with them. Probably 40 have been chosen for streaming, but like I said, almost none of the data has been officially reported to me yet, so I’m pretty much in the dark

@@StockMusicMusician I've got some 20 tracks with them and they are steaming maybe 5 regularly and I receive around $5/mo. I was wondering if I really wrote a bunch of music for streaming if it would be profitable...?
