Some of us Grand Pa's and Grand Ma's live vicariously through our "adopted kids" on youtube that are doing what we wish we were still young enough to do (some of us are old free spirits and did our version of what you are doing when we were younger, so for us we are also somewhat reliving our youth) and you just become a part of our "extended" family. I love youtube for that. But we come to love you as if you are our own. We are so thankful that you weren't seriously hurt, though I'm sure that soreness you speak of isn't exactly fun, we are just thankful you will be able to fully recover and there was nothing any worse than what happened. We love you two and your family. But God had His hand on you that day. He was looking after His children (and ours)!! Thank you God!!

I have my 70 chevelle still. Everyone wants to buy & I snarl at them. It's my 1st car. I'm almost 55. My dead fingers will be pryed off that car before I sell it. Reddy(chevelle) saved my life as well. Topped the hill at 85mph hit ice, brakes would freeze up & release hit a telephone pole landed on the side. $2500 worth of repairs in 1986. No bumps or bruises on me, my hat landed in the backseat like I had put it there. If I hadn't hit the pole I would've went airborne into a frozen river. January 30, 1986 in Ohio, 1/2 mile from home

Happy to hear that the baby is ok. I was in a wreck New Year's Day in 1992. Only I was 3 months pregnant, thankfully my daughter was born healthy. Like you the woman ran a stop sign striking us in the he rear quarter panel causing us to do a 360, three times with us ending up in a 6ft culvert. No fun being strapped to a backboard with a neckbrace for 6 hours being pregnant. I'm just happy all are okay.

This wreck was not your fault. Their insurance needs to give you enough money to buy another vehicle at least equal to what you had. Do not take no for an answer. My dad took the truck and cut the top off and took the doors off and we had an excellent utility vehicle for the farm. We loaded it up with equipment for cutting wood, putting up fence and sometimes just buzzing around the property. I think Sasquatch would make an excellent utility vehicle for your farm❤

2001 KIA !?!! I thought you were in "car" shopping mode ! Attached to a car is not unusual AND, my wife has given every vehicle we ever owned (6 in twenty years) a name. Thank you SO much for this mush relieving update. Our prayers have been answered in the affirmative and we continue to hold you and yours, looking forward to your FULL recovery and return to "normalcy" (What's normal?). Those chooks and the pigs and the shigs (Wool covered pigs that were named by my 3 year old grandson) and the garden will soon be feeding you and keeping you continually amused. Blessings from Australia

Thanks for the update. I am sure that was hard to film. I was rear end by someone texting and my car written off, then dealing with the insurance company, finding a new car etc.. The stress was getting to me, so I took a step back and as soon as I did, the next evening my Dad called and said he had found my exact car, $2500 less than the insurance company gave me with half the kilometres(Canadian don't use miles). Stress less and trust in God.

Good advice. Trusting God is one of the best things I've ever done. It was so hard in the beginning, because I've always been self reliant However I have learned there are times when everything is out of my control, that is when already having faith that God is in control, makes those times so much easier. I've already been though it, and I'm always amazed how it works out better than I could have ever imagined.

I am so sorry you're having to go through this. And so grateful that you are all ok physically. Please accept all the help the world wants to give you! You are both amazing. And I have been so impressed with your boys. They are so sweet, respectful and hard workers just like ya'll are. But i must tell you how so VERY PROUD OF YOU i am. You blow me away with your talents, strength of character, love of family, devotion to God, and pure tenacity!! Look what you've accomplished in such a short time. And because ya'll aren't working 16hrs every day on getting home ready, you diminish all the things that are way ahead of schedule. I have adopted you as my own. You are in my thoughts and prayers every day. I have been watching your vlogs to catch up with last couple of years. And all i can say is FANTASTIC. What a journey! Just like pioneers heading out west. You have what it takes! You have all of us too! I can't wait to meet you someday to let you know how much i care about your future. Love, prayers and hugs from Indiana, Rossi J. And remember God can make good from bad!

I am so pleased to see you guys on line again, I have been praying for your whole family. I know it is hard to get back in the car, mentally, but believe you me it is the best thing you can do. Just take each day at a time, there is no hurry. My dad taught me something when I had moved from one country to another and the weather and place was so different from where we came from and this is what he said " Take each day as it comes, when you get up, open the curtains and see what it is like and take it from there". Now I have moved again to another country and I use this advice from my father and it has helped me a lot. What has this got to do with your situation is this, Meg has said 'she can not be doing with some stuff at the moment' hence the story. Meg I am so happy the baby and you are doing well, fantastic. It is not silly to think like that about your truck. Put it away under the taup and tackle it at a much later date. Take care, I hope the kids are getting over this ok as well. My thoughts are with you all, Meg, Ben and children. Take care and God Bless from the UK.

Glad you guys are doing ok! Interesting fact, most accidents happen within two miles of the home. Also, good practice is to let car come to full stop and count to three before you go.. my father was an accident reconstructionist for the police. It was a handy tip he gave me and has saved me from multiple accidents.

I had to donate my car this year. I loved that car, had it 16 years, less than 100k miles. The most comfortable car I ever had. I'm disabled with severe back and neck issues so finding a car I could ride in no less drive took forever. Unfortunately the frame was rusted out. It looked brand new, mechanically perfect but the frame was shot. It got inspected every year and it couldn't/shouldn't have been missed all these years. We took it to a new place this year and thank God we did. It could have killed us and others if it had ever let loose on the highway or even local roads. I did take it to two body shops to see about replacing the frame. It would have been cost prohibitive and there were no frames/parts available. I did have two shops and my husband working on it. So now I have a new car and already had more problems than I ever had with my baby. Take your time replacing Sasquatch. They just don't make them like the used to!

Good to see you. I agree with keeping Sasquatch... Ben's a metalworker & Sasquatch is metal, so there's project potential there. I was leaning towards a farm truck... haul firewood out of the bush, feedbags, compost, etc. Your lawnmower isn't an ATV, after all. 🙂
