So a minor thing but magerna isn't from alola it's from Kalos you could only get one in gen seven but in lore it was from kalos. Also this video has taught me that foongus and amoongus are predators and I don't know what to do with that information

I think the easiest solution to this whole thing is to say that the apricorns came first, and were inspirited by whatever process Pokemon like trubbish or varoom were, creating the initial electrode line. The foongus line likely started as a means to resemble fallen apricorns to ensnare curious young Pokemon before adapting to trick humans/better blend in as trash. As for the paradox mons, I just treat them as artificial Pokemon cuz they all appear to be products of human imagination. Magearna was probably just had an apricorn-style pattern. However it is interesting how the keystone works compared to your standard pokeball, and I wouldn't be surprised if some ancient tribe was inspired by observing spirits interact with apricorns. Overall, interesting theory and a decent watsonian answer for something we all know the dickensian reasoning for

I’ve wondered this myself and I used to think it first started with the original design that professor oak had and they wanted you to make a easier to use design and took the idea from Voltorb, but I think you brought up good points and ideas that could really be true 🧐

I think it's worth pointing out At the end of DLC Professor Sada/Turo say this : "I am researching methods to catch Pokémon that live in different timelines..." Notice how they used word "Timelines" instead of times or something like that I believe that Paradox Pokemon are from alternate Future and Past not "our"

Before I get into the video I believe it goes in this order: Voltorb line then Pokeball and last Amoonguss Legends Arceus pokeballs were in the early stage and how alot of the pokemon were around before the creation of pokeballs. It's more likely that the design were copied from the Voltorb line as for an entire species to so suddenly adapt to look like an early prototype of the pokeball seems too wild, especially if they were really trying to mimic the pokeball you'd think they'd also have a black stripe. Then with Amoonguss I'd say last because it's way too blatant of a copy and unlike Voltorb we don't see Amoonguss in the game of Arceus so we have no idea if they were even around at the time or if they still had the same pokeball pattern as they might've looked vastly different. Now Amoonguss does have a past paradox however paradox forms come from imagination, essentially creating ancient forms just like with the 3 legendary beasts who shouldn't have past forms since they were created by Ho-oh. They were not naturally created animals, therefore Brutebonet could've easily just been made up like that. Well that's what I think 🤷‍♂️ Edit: Ah welp I might be wrong about Voltorb then...

So. Some Pokemon look like pokeballs because Professor Sada sent pokeballs back in time (if i'm getting this right) This is totally new to me but it was interesting. Also didn't know there were Pokemon that preyed on humans (Foongus & Amoonguss) 😨

the idea of 500 years being sufficient for creatures of that size for the fungus Pokemon to evolve in any noticeable way is... dubious. at best there are two answers. the first is that the artificial Pokemon's colour scheme is simply a coincidence. 500 years would be more than enough for artists to unintentionally make something vaguely similar and has no actual connection. the designer of the modern Poke-ball was probably a fan of the fungus.

Oh interesting perspective I mean I belive most also base it on voltorb remember arceus hissuian voltorb design and body must have help give the first version of the pokeball then in the future needing to evolve finding ammongus mushroom head design for the current ball we have now I like how you saw it though but what makes you think for the other pokeball designs like friend luxury or dive for example but awesome Pokemon video
