Where Exactly Did The Bombs Touch Down In Fallout: New Vegas?

I'm trying to wrap my head around that. 9 nuclear warheads hit Las Vegas. As much as I disagree with House's methods, I certainly respect his wealth and genius. Without him, Nevada would he a lifeless crater.

Keep in mind, it's stated ingame that Black Mountain received several hits to ensure its destruction, or at least unusable.

I'm not sold on Searchlight one, seems more like a collapse. As for The One, It could be on of the disarmed ones, not ones that hit.

Oh wow there should be a mod that litters about 59 bombs and warheads around major targets. They could be little flavor landmarks, since almost every settlement would have one, they would be associated with the Mojave. NCR troopers posing next to them, with graffiti or an atomic wrangler ad painted on. You could have a multi faction quest where NCR wants to ship them back west, Followers want to dismantle them, Brotherhood trying to get 6 guys in power armor to fit one through the door at hidden valley.

The crater with the car pileup near Jacobstown couldn't be the result of a nuclear explosion. If the bomb struck that part of the road, why would the cars still be there? They would've been atomized, or at least heavily mangled beyond all recognition. I think it's just a sinkhole. The underpass at Searchlight Airport doesn't seem like a bomb crater, either. That one is just a standard structural collapse. I agree with all the other ones, though. I didn't know there were two craters outside the playable area of the map.

My head canon is that mister house and his bots have dismantled all of the 59 disarmed nukes. If he foresaw the war then he could also foresee that there would be people trying to re-arm the nukes and such

There are another 3 craters in the "Old Nuclear Test Site" behind the fenced gate, had that area with "A World of Pain".

Isn’t it weird how black mountain has been hit by several nukes but there are still radar dishes standing ???

I don't think the last one was a bomb due to the cars being there, if they aren't vaporized, they would have been blown far away. And black mountain got hit a couple times. It is possible the place with 2 craters was 2 different bombs, maybe they didn't explode but their speed/velocity was still enough to make those craters, and has long since been picked up since it has military strategic positioning

I always forget that Mr House has laser cannons in the roof of his towers, i wonder if they still work, maybe even weaponizing them for other purposes too.
