Epic! Kokoro is truly one of the kindest pro's I've met and I think you described it perfect when you said he carried no ego despite having accomplished so many incredible things. Love the videos 🔥

If only 5 Japanese athletes can represent Japan in a world cup, then why are there many semifinals with like 10 Japanese athletes?
@pyfffiiiii4 ай бұрын
I believe its different in lead climbing meaning they have more slots available. That’s why there are a lot of lead wc finals with 6 or 7 Japanese athletes competing
@colemantrebor65744 ай бұрын
Looking at the results for the boulder world cup in Prague last week, there were 9 Japanese climbers climbing in qualification. So it's not just lead climbing.
@kwongshuchung4 ай бұрын
It is a new rule for the next year's world cup series 😂
@Jonathan_sin884 ай бұрын
Certain athletes have their spots already based on result from previous season, but I think the rule is that if you didn’t make top 10 in the world the year prior, you don’t get a spot for YOU. If you ranked top 40, you earn an extra spot for your country but then it’s down to your federation to decide whether or not to send you or someone else. So I think in Japan, making top 40 in the world is just not good enough for them so who gets the spot is determined by top whatever number in the Japan Cup, disregarding athletes with their own spots. Definitely not 100% sure on this info but that’s my understanding and I’m pretty sure the rules are changing
