Ron, sorry to hear of the loss of your father and the dog attack. I certainly can relate to your summer as my wife and I spent 75+ days of our summer break from school cleaning out my father-in-law's house as we moved him into Assisted Living. Very little got done on my layout during that time and going back to school in August seemed like a break compared to what summer had in store for us. I hope things go well as you ease back into the model railroading season. ~Tony

I have been following you for years Ron, and we have even talked a few times on youtube model railroaders. I am so sorry about the year you have had, and I so wish I had the words to tell you to help ease that burden. It is tough, I have gotten to that age where losing people seems to had 1-2 a year now. As always you have to put family first, as well as take care of your own mental health. Your a good man Ron, your father raised you right.

Dear Ron and family, am glad you found the time to share this update vid between all the responsibilities you mentioned. Having your dad over for hospice and being supportive to him on preparing for the last journey surely makes all other less important things a secondary concern. Hope all of your time with your dad was embraced with love and the quality of human interaction on the comfort scale. Saying goodbye is indeed hard enough in itself and with what you said I just think you all set a great example. Of course it takes time to heal on such matters, just take your time! In the meantime I’ll be checking for your vids Ron. Looking forward to seeing you in those new episodes. Sincerely Vincent

Ron I am so sorry to hear about your father.. I know first hand how things can turn very quickly with a 93 year parent. One Friday evening she was in much pain and finally allowed us to have her taken to the hospital. As a pastor I am sure you can appreciate the following. The ER doctor indicated the tests they were going to perform and she was coherent enough to tell them, I do not want any tests,. I know where I am headed and I am ready to go be with Jesus. She did allow them to keep her comfortable. 48 hours she passed away. While she did not have a complex estate, as executor we were able to wrap her affairs up four months. God bless everything you have gone through the last few months.
