Honestly feel bad for my American gun owners at times as a Canadan, we get A LOT of surplus, to the point where Chinese SKS are still $300, and you can find weird stuff like VZ.52's or Hakim rifles for $800, or truly rare rifles in the US like SVT-38 and SVT-40s for only around $1000 - $1500 here and theres a pretty large number of them here, that or we get stuff like the FS2000. I walked into my LGS one time around 2 years ago, and they had an 1890 dated Martini-Henry that looked like it went through several wars, for $1100, and a sign that said "no ammunition available" next to it, right next to a proper AR180B for the same price. We just get all the weird stuff.

Gun shows are one of the things that have held up the least as I've gotten to know more about firearms. Use to be this magical place with a ton of cool guns, awesome deals, and something I looked forward to going to with the homies. half the place is selling the same 12 products, just with different grey labels, all to the backdrop of every single taser at the taser booth (every show has to have one, it's law) going cyclic. I still buy something neat every time though...

He made Wesker’s actual grips for the live action movies plus he does a lot of customization with them. From the wood to the medallion and he even offers them for different guns too! Plus the price is pretty much the same as any other clone grips I’ve come across. Hope this helps love your videos and editing keep it up man!

In 2022 I bought my first rifle, a Byf Mauser Kar98k dated 1944. I bought it for $500 because it was converted to a sporting rifle, devaluing it. However, unlike most sporting Kar98ks I've seen, they didn't modify the bolt handle which makes me happy. It's not much, it's a simple rifle, and I know a paid a little more than I should have, but I had a feeling it was meant to be because my late paternal grandpa, whom I was close with, had a German made Gewehrfabrik Danzig Model 2 as his first rifle, it's a single shot bolt action .22lr rifle that was used for training purposes. Much like my rifle it isn't worth a lot of money, but both were made for military purposes, and both are well made.

Nothing wrong with that. I hope you have fun shooting it. Word of warning though. Surplus 8mm Mauser ammo can be very hit/miss. I was out at a range last weekend talking with a few old timers about old milsurp rifles and they mentioned that 8mm can vary wildly between manufacturers. Some the casings were split, either didn’t fire or got a hang fire and worse case it was over pressured and cracked the stock.

The only thing that really bothered me about them was that it was the first handgun I ever shot that I had to sight to make sure the barrel was level every time I shot it. My local shows have definitely dropped in quality in the last few years. I’m headed to the big Reno show this November and I hope I find something nice to break in my C&R, but the dream is a Martini Henry action; I have plans for what to do when I find one

I saw a 3 inch anti aircraft shell storage tube from the 1950s at an antique store once. I really wanted it but had no room for it at home

Fiskars is a finnish company, they make a bunch of quality axes, knives and other bladed stuff, the one you have has a U.S.A designation so thats why it has gerber parts

You literally just described the last gun show I went to. Although you did not mention the people selling products of dubious legality. I keep wondering where the good gun shows are, because they aren't in Nevada. Lol!

Fisker made the frame and pliers, Gerber made the blade, sounds like kingston during ww2

I remember when I was younger my grandpa took me to a gun show. I found a nice rifle and I started talking to the old fudd running the table. I said that I would love to buy this gun if it wasn't listed for 5x the price of "off the factory floor" price. And he started getting huffy, my grandpa came over and tore him in half, I ended up getting an optic and spare mags with my purchase and it was way less than what he was trying to sell it for. All in all these people do not in fact "know what they got"

Man am I glad I got a decent clip with my Garand from the CMP Oh yeah, Zach, just so ya know, on the CMP form that says what rifle you're purchasing, you can actually write down a request for any specifics you want on the rifle. For example, I wrote down a request for a WW2 era Garand made by Springfield, by writing "one made some time during ww2 by springfield if you have any please :)" and they actually sent me one Of course it depends on their availability so ya might not get the request fulfilled, but it still increases your chances of getting a specific one
