Nate, good on you for taking the time you need. This type of work is all consuming. No shame at all! One thing I try to do myself is to set realistic goals by writing it out. I often try to bite into too much that I can chew, writing ✍️ it down helps me see if it’s realistic and if I’ll make that same mistake again. At the end of the day, I’m sure viewers want to see your quality content, even if it’s 1-2 videos a month. Quality over quantity, authenticity over perfection 😀

Everything you mention about not making videos sound like my own thoughts for years too. The pressure of producing great videos which cost lots of unpaid time over and over again really is too much for any one person to handle. You already have an audience so enjoy having fun your own way in your videis. Thank you for sharing.

Over the past few weeks, i watched all your Premiere tutorials, all your Illustrator tutorials, and most of your Photoshop tutorials. I love them and learnt so much. Thank you for doing those videos for guys like me, with a small channel, wanting to improve the quality of their videos. I'm glad to see you're back after a break. Similar story for me. Welcome back, Nate. You've inspired, educated and influenced me... and obviously many, many others... for many, many years. And I just got as much out of this personal and authentic video as I've ever gotten out of any of your technical tutorials (which have always been great). We're all human. We're all just trying to express ourselves creatively and find joy and satisfaction in our lives. And sometimes sharing those challenges and struggles (or having someone else share theirs) is more helpful than any tutorial could possibly be. Looking forward to what comes next!

Right there with you in the creative head space of overthinking to the point of not actually doing anything, being too afraid that whatever I’m going to do isn’t going to hold up to my standards or idea of how it should end up that I don’t end up even starting. I’ve got the ideas, the tools, the time but the same kind of mental barriers. Honestly, hearing you talk about this is a huge thing. Thanks for taking such a big leap and trusting yourself again.

i found this channel while searching for tutorials (ofc) recently and you looked familiar. Then I remember when I used to actively design stuff I'd often stumble upon your videos. I'm starting up again, so I found your channel again. And then I see this video. And it's funny that I'm relating to this, and a creator with over 1 million sub and his youtube gold badge is relating to me, in terms of starting over again, and lacking confidence and facing doubt, dealing artistic rough patch. This video will prob not get as many views as your other videos, however, this might be the best tutorial video I'll watch all year. It's a tutorial on life and more. I can't wait to see what you teach us. Welcome back. It'll be a good journey to take together to get up and run again
