i went to a second hand book store the other day, and wow they had a German section that was not just books for learning the language! it was an entire book case filled with literature. $1 per paperpack, if i wanted to order any of those online, I would be paying $10+ and shipping. Second hand book stores can be a gold mine sometimes

Welcome back, Abigail! You should consider doing a language book haul video. One of my favorite videos in your channel is the European language book haul. 😊

Thank you!! I don't buy books very often and when I do it's usually one or two at a time so it's a bit hard to do hauls... but maybe at some point I can make a video on all the books I've gotten over a wide range of time or just talk more about books I've used or read recently. I'd love to do more book videos in general :)

(Not language related) - I got a leather bound Sherlock Holmes Collection for £0.50 from a second hand bookstore once, and it is the pride and joy of my shelf. It was in perfect condition, and that collection isn’t cheap either. Second hand shops are great!

Used bookstores that are local are such an underrated place! I've gotten two volumes of a theology set for $45 when on Amazon the price was $65 for just one. It was amazing!!!

Some libraries even have volunteer organizations that run a book store for the libraries in the county or area. In my area - staffed by total volunteers -- there is a used book store that is all old library books. Advantage in general, is books are typically cheaper than a normal used book store.

I went to a used bookstore and my Mum managed to find a book on Spanish grammar for £5! Absolute bargain. I've only used it a couple of times, but there's nothing better about getting a really useful book and knowing what a cheap price you've got it for!

Thriftbooks doesn't have Hebrew books. I get my non-language related books from those little neighborhood libraries. For my Hebrew books I have to order ebooks online.
@PolyglotProgress3 жыл бұрын
Yeah they are a bit limited in terms of languages at times, it's hard to find Bulgarian books too! Do you have any Hebrew book site suggestions? :)

@@PolyglotProgress Right now I order ebooks from e-vrit.co.il. They don't seem to ship outside of Israel. Their books go on sale pretty often.
