bill, I may not have watched you since you began fishing in the 70s because I’m only 17 but I had the pleasure to meet you at the bassmaster classic in 2014 i believe, in guntersville and I look up to you. I just lost my fishing partner my grandfather almost 2 months ago and I teared up watching this because you remind me so much of him in how you fish and your wisdom on bass fishing . Thank you so much for what you have done for the sport of bass fishing. Tight lines

I'd rather be alone on a creek anyday with a backpack lunch and a spare rod...than just about any kind of fishing. Takes me back to my roots - before big boats and motors... I'd pedal my bike with a rod and a backpack and be gone all day. Loved it then...still love it today. Should do more of it! Thanks Bill...I grew up watching you, Jerry, and Jimmy.

Mr bill I caught me a 21 inch 4 pound 5 Oz bass yesterday Over a log, first fish of the day and I didn’t expect it at all! We was floating a small south Mississippi creek we usually walk them but we found one that’s easy to float from bridge to bridge and took a John boat! I was just saying it’s fun fishing big fish lakes but nothing will beat walking creeks fishing!

I pray that Mr Dance, the Lord heals you. That He will let you breathe freely, and give you good health in Jesus Christ's Name, I ask this of the Father. Amen... Sir, you would be greatly missed if something happened , never doubt that.

Small river/ big creek bass fishing has something magical about it; there is just nothing like it! I want to camp by a nice little river like the one bill is at for a three day weekend and just take in the beautiful solitude hunting smallies, spots or large mouths..panfish too and some goggle eye aka stump knockers!🙃🎣😉

Smallies! I go out on tour every July to Iowa, and hit up Tennessee on the way back.. There are a lot of fast moving creeks around that I fish, and had to learn how to do it on my own.. I wish I had seen this video long before now, great content!! Thanks Bill for the informative video!

Bill doesn't sound like he is breathing to well. But he is right, there is nothing like fishing a river, definitely the funnest fishing there is.
@dadleyblane56 жыл бұрын
Yeah, I heard Him breathing hard too. They probably did a lot of walking that creek. He's what now? Close to 80 or more? But, besides that, every tip he gave on this episode my Daddy taught me. We live here in NW Florida and the same principles apply on our creeks and rivers.

When you hold a bass horizontally, unsupported, using nothing more than its lower lip you damage the fish and reduce its ability to survive if it is released. The correct way to hold a fish its to either lip it ,and hold it vertically, or if you feel the need to display the fish in a horizontal position, then for goodness sake, wet your other hand, then lift and support its lower body weight with that hand.

Can’t beat fishing deep in the mountains in a river. Just make sure to be packing a gun in case of bears.

Why do you jack open the fishes mouth so much? We all know it's a large mouth.
