But in my opinion, whatever Soojin decides to do next, I hope and pray that she will be happy with her next career choice and continues to support her former bandmates in I-DLE. OT5 is cool, but OT6 is different; imagine how Soojin will be presented in I Never Die.

@@austinsadler That’s just one of their many screwups, one of them being Hyuna & Dawn (FKA E Dawn)’s case. Ok, let’s say there’s actually a dating ban over there, I wouldn’t just jump to conclusions and kick him out just because “they can no longer maintain any trust”; that’s if I was in the CEO’s position. I don’t know if I have any right to say this, I’m not a management major, but I’ve played Football Manager and Idol Manager in the past. If I was handling Pentagon and the rest of their musical talent as one of the management team, regarding said case, I’d give Dawn some time off (a polite way of saying he’s suspended) and see where he wants to go from there, if he continues his relationship and it’s already violating the rules/breach of contract, then I got no other choice; one of them’s got to leave CUBE. Also, since that time Yanan’s still having medical issues, I’d give him some time to heal until he’s back to full strength, the rest of them can either enlist during that time. If one of them decides not to enlist yet, they can continue with their studies (if they’re pursuing higher education), and release a solo single or take time to improve their composition skills and sharpen their foreign language skills (English, Chinese & Japanese); someone like Yuto can also take time to either debut as a solo rapper or help other talent when it comes to producing and composing songs. While Pentagon’s busy with their individual schedules, that time can be used for CLC to get the proper recognition and promotions that they so deserve. With (G)I-DLE, I’ll make sure everyone’s in full health, and when Soojin’s case is still going on, I’d also try and contact Soojin’s alma mater and her family in order to gain more evidence. I’d also introduce monthly medical tests, then we know everyone’s keeping their body healthy. Sometimes we don’t need to be a medical expert to know if someone’s been smoking weed. Before BtoB enlists (I’d encourage them immediately after their tour), I’ll definitely insist that Ilhoon goes to rehab before enlisting. If he refuses, “there’s the door, you may leave”.

Even most of the songs in I Never Die seem to be partly about/for Soojin. The smoking and drinking line in Soyeon’s rap in Tomboy, Polaroid (Soojin loved taking polaroid pictures), Escape (Minnie said it’s for the “members” and the fans), Liar (the netizens calling Soojin a liar?) and Villain Dies (Soojin was painted as a villain by the media?) could be too, and then the red FIVE diamonds line in My Bag (since Soyeon is singing, then she’s not part of the five, but rather she means the “other five” members aside from her). They were all very close to each other. It’s just so impossible that they wouldn’t do anything to try to include Soojin even if it’s just indirectly and in the most subtle way, so that Cube doesn’t notice…

I will always have a great memory of Soojin. I had a friendly fan reaction with her at K-Con and to me it seemed she was down to earth and really appreciated the support that we gave her and the rest of the group. What really stood out to me was the fact that when I waved hello to her, she made eye contact and smile at me then waved back. I was a bit uncomfortable being at K-Con, not because I was a dude supporting a K-Pop group, but a dude who was born and raised in The Bronx listening to hip-hop all his life and dressed to go to a Yankee game. In my mind, I thought yeah these girls would probably look the other way, but Soojin proved that otherwise. And for that I will always respect her and wish her the best in whatever she does in life.

I really feel sorry for all the idols who had to leave their groups because of (most of the time groundless) accusations. I'm not victim shaming, but everybody makes mistakes and most of the accusations ALWAYS happen in middle school. teenagers are hot tempered (not an excuse) but since bullying is a really big social issue in south korea, not only the idols should be called out but the victims should also address their teachers and the school? most of the time teachers just let things slide or don't take it seriously. soojin even admitted that she said and did things that were inappropriate for a teenager but never to the extend that would hurt anybody, that is such a BOLD, SINCERE, HONEST move that should be praised ! I adore G-idle's current concepts and the girls are doing great but I can't always help but feel the stage is slightly empty with them as a 5 :( They worked together so well and bounced off each other, and Soojin was such a focal point. They deserved each other as a group, and it's infuriating how Cube and the bullies treated Soojin like absolute dirt.

The hard truth is that Soojin's will no longer have a career in the entertainment industry unless K-Netz "forgive" her. Given the mountain of evidence presented to them was ignored, this means they have no intention on changing their minds unless something dramatic happens (like the Mina/Jimin scandal). Even if ( )I-DLE leaves the blue box (remarkably all together) and reform as a group on a new label, it's doubtful that the company would sign on Soojin when there's so much baggage that comes with her. So yeah, that's it. It's unfair and sucks, but the only way Soojin becomes a pubic figure again is if she does it herself (like doing a KZbin channel), and I don't see her doing that.

(I have the clips if anyone is interested) , lying about soojin not wanting to meet them. Not to mention Seo Shin Ae’s devastating blow, being an ambassador for the prevention of bullying. Ironically she was swaying public opinions EVERY time soojin make a statement, leading to more people bullying soojin. Hiding behind the cryptic messages, posting 14 yo edge screenshots with “therefore I am”, Being passive aggressive leading people to make assumptions. She couldn’t take any of the matter privately, she refused to reply to Soojin. It’s clear that she is manipulating the public. After the matter settles she claims “she doesn’t want anything to do with this anymore, and she is walking her own path” and she is unsure whether soojin is in the group with the bullies. I feel so bad for Soojin. She worked so HARD all these years, and now it’s gone. She is only 23 at the time.
