I grew up in the 80s through the hair metal. Even though my life is a little different now, I still have all my old albums and cassettes. Lots of cool photos, concert tickets, posters, etc. Good chapter in my life for sure. Good times man. Good times 🎸

Just watched the Metalhead Teens go to a Record store video! This is definitely Rad to see a video from that time period. I was 2 in 89' but feel like I grew up in the 80's given my mom and dad showing me the culture of the time while growing up. That was a cool feel good video.

My buddy Jim and I have so many home videos from the 80s and were identical to you guys it’s so weird. We are both now 52 and 51 years old. We have hours and hours of video. We also had a band called Rude Awakening. We were huge Kiss fans and still have our collections and vinyl. I love that I found your channel.
These guys were cute boys in the 80s and seem to be still adorable. I still would have been too old for them back then, but they’re the kind of boys I used to hang out with and crush on.

Thank u. That was exactly what us "where's Larry" folk were looking for. I recommend the DVD of heavy metal parking lot, because the 6 hours of bonus footage includes them tracking down the old metalheads, seeing what they're doing nowadays.

We finally hear from Larry!!!! So awesome you guys are all still friends after all this time :) cool that you guys mentioned Pretty Boy Floyd - I kind of had a similar encounter with that album like 15 years ago when I was a kid getting into records. It was on a market stall and at the time I‘d just got hooked on Mötley Crüe, so the OTT glam artwork grabbed me straight away!

Pretty Boy Floyd....lol. When the band Ugly Kid Joe came out around the same time as PBF, the singer stated they came up with their name in a way of making fun of PBF. Pretty funny.

Great to hear that Larry is doing well! He doesn't need to feel embarrassed at all. I loved that record store video. I'm close to you all in age, and that video summed up summer vacation days for me back then. Doing something that most of us view as mudane such as a trip to the record store with friends really encompassed so much more. With the trip to the record store video, it was a journey, and Larry was the guide.

The video with Larry going to the record store and the convenience store is the first video I saw. I thought Larry was pretty memorable so I noticed when he wasn't in many other videos. That video built up the other videos like Larry was going to have a consistent part in them. I thought it was going to be "The adventures of Eric, Darrell, and Larry" so of course since he's been absent it feels like a piece is missing.

This is so down my alley. I guess we are around the same age. I only had one friend that had a recorder in Tennessee. I never could get him to go down town Nashville with me to pass out flyer's and promo tapes. That was the only way to promote back then. This touched my heart because you two were just like me and my twin sister and Motley Crue was our first concert in 1990. Dr. Feelgood tour! Love you guys and I will continue to follow

I honestly thought that video was made recently to look like it was made in 85 until I seen more than two cars from that era and then I was just hooked, I grew up in the last generation where my friends and I would go walking around town and go to the mall to the CD store etc. I was born in 90 so that would be the early to mid 2010s after that, social media took over the world. So glad i missed it by a few years. I remember getting my first cell phone at 15 and I didn’t even want one at all, family made me get a nextell with the chirp thing and I even had to pay my own bill at 15 lol things have changed SO FAST the 60s up until the early 2000s were good times.
@andrewdoll88914 жыл бұрын
If we only could have done this in 1976. We would have probably been good at it. Don’t know if we would have stuck with it as long as you did. We didn’t even take pictures and that really makes me sad. I already had 3 young children by 1989. But even if I am quite a bit older, these are some of the best videos I have ever seen.
