The "tree of life" might actually be Isha, the eldar goddess of life, who was kidnapped by nurgle and imprisoned in his garden before Slaanesh could take her to their palace (which, i guess is the slightly less terrible outcome). Nurgle tests all her deseases on her before sending it out, but she's not been sitting there idly. She actually whispers out the cure of every desease nurgle has made out through the warp for all mortals in the galaxy, so they may fight back against the grandfathers gifts.

I believe they'd challenge Guilliman as to why he hasn't slapped down the imperium though I can see Russ being more understanding since Guilliman is doing it to keep humanity together. People always say it like he left right after the heresy. HH ended in 014.M31, and Russ had his vision (yes he didn't just leave) at about 211.M31. So he stayed in the imperium for almost 200 standard years.

But more importantly old lore has basically flat out said he will never leave the throne and he will never heal. But agree, an ending would be nice for the story, doesn't mean you have to stop making games and minis, and books. Just tell the stories in between, or even after

I think he hasnt changed as much as we think. I think hes taken on more of a wolfish but almost Wolverinesque look, but still retains his mind. Notice the wulfen still retain their base core of who they were as opposed to the world eaters who lose themselves completely. I believe he wanders the realm of chaos much like corvus and the reason Khorne covets him so much is that he cancels out the warp with just his presence. Example of this is in Prospero Burns he howls and severs all thousand sons from the warp. Primarch tier shit. Like a blank on bathtub meth. He'll return with Isha in tow and have the whole Guilliman/Yrvaine relationship. Imperium/Eldar/and Ork will band together against Chaos. Question: has Kaldor Draigo met the primarchs while wandering the warp? Does he know all the juicy secrets?

At this point the only Primarchs GW absolutely can't bring back are Rogal Dorn, Konrad Curze, Sanguinius, Ferrus Manus and Horus. Everyone else is either still alive/alive again (Roboute Guilliman, Lion El'Jonson, Magnus the Red, Fulgrim, Lorgar, Mortarion, Perturabo, Angron) or just missing (Jaghatai Khan, Corvus Corax, Leman Russ, Vulkan). And Alpharius Omegon are/is... being Alpharius Omegon, so who knows. So GW can still bring back quite a lot of Primarchs.

Useless to speak with you. You only hate Russ without any real reason (and disrespect who likes him as you did in my other comment). All this s**t is caused by gw that used him in that way only recently. Russ is still one of the strongest primarchs in the setting (after Sanguinius i think), he still crushed the head of many foes (more than all the others) and he is the Emperor executioner, he also saved the Techno priests by the way. The fact that Horus became a god because of him is a clear example of stupid retconned lore. If gw tomorrow will say that Sanguinius was the cause of the Emperor's death, would you hate Sanguinius too?
