Always nice to have those cocinas out back..I have seen many tico homes with the outdoor wood stoves and such for big dinners...and wow the cool bug, c.r. does have a great percentage of bugs and animals and yet they still discover new species ...enjoyed the fishing trip..nice.

Stilll love following your adventures as you learn to tive in a new land. Enjoy watching your pivots and adventures. Usuallky watching on the big screen and can't comment butt I am here every week. In addition to really enjjoying the nitty gritty ofyour live, I am also thrilled to see the variety of plant and insect life and the occaional howler monkey background noise. Watching this while more snow is falling outside our cabin, adding to the 5” we received overnight. Stunningly gorgeous! And … I will be happy when Spring begins to make its presence known around here too! Looking forward to kitchen video! We do quite a book of cooking outside here as well, even in snowy weather! We also have an outdoor shower - for cooling off after a sauna. All’s good here as it seems it is with you all as well. Happy! Happy! Glad you each got time in your favorite places! I SO loved/continue to love your altered book videos - you’re the only KZbinr who created altered books in the way I always have! It was soooo fabulous to find you “way back when”! So many other creators do what they refer to as “altered books” but from my perspective they are more scrapbooking type books … they don’t actually use a real book in its intactness as their base/book. When I found saw your videos years ago I felt I’d gone to heaven and exclaimed, “oh, yes!” One of my favorite altered book page videos of yours was when you created a “spinning wheel” (of heads/faces) on a page. I used that same concept in the altered book I am currently working on! It’s so great and I know the recipient of the books will howl with delight when he gets to that particular page! So, thank you! I’m also a big stabilo (sp?) girl …smudge it up and up!!!! Again, I return to your videos often - I have them on for “company” sometimes when I’m creating in my studio! If I were in CR, I’d be enrolling in your basket class! Happy teaching, cooking and being! Kathleen

Wow!!! I would love to have an outdoor kitchen ( not where I live now) I think IF AND WHEN I am feeling better, I might start looking for a better living situation, in the way of a tiny house or gypsy wagon, or something without adjoining neighboring walls, floor, and ceiling. Apt living sucks!!! Happy to hear that your remodeling is going so well and life is rocking on in such a fun and enjoyable way. How's Hudson doing??? Hope he's all better now. Great idea to keep the cooking outside and replace glass with screens. Makes a lot of sense. I love outdoor showers. I had to laugh. The first video had the sound of bottles being dumped or falling or whatever in the background and I thought it was here so i ran out to see what happened. Everyone is asleep and all quiet here. Then I realised it must have been the video. The weather looks so nice now.

I visit my mother 2 times a week but her Altzheimer is getting so worse she tried to eat paper last week. I still cry because of her, it is a terrible thing. When you mentioned you are going to remove the windows I got worried. I know you have bars but for me screens only I could not. You are brave. I needed to replace 19 windows because many could not be opened. Wanted to have better air circulation through my bungalow as I don't have AC. I chose the awning types. When it rains no rain comes in so I don't need to close them. Thank you for sharing. 💕

So glad you had a "me" week where you were able to do what you wanted. Those days and weeks are most important. LorriMarie the kid who loves to play out in the street. LOL So glad you both enjoyed your special times. That tree was awesome, along with the river and the river rocks. Would one consider that a babbling brook? A little sling back chair, a good book - hmmm, that would be great to pass the time. Rob did you catch any fish? Is there a large variety to catch there? Love fish, grew up on it, from smelt to perch, cod, bass it's all so good. I like your idea of keeping the outside kitchen. I mainly use a small convection oven I have rather than firing up the big oven. I should consider moving it to the enclosed porch in the summer months. Food for thought. Pray you both have another fabulous week. Blessings to all.

hey margaret....i am adding the sand and river rock to the road...filling in some of the ruts...and we also add river sand to organic soil for the plants....there is one little area that you can sit in like a jacuzi but...i have not seen a swimming hole there yet....i am going to take my sisters there when they come to visit...woot woot!!! thank you for coming along!

thank you for asking gaila...he does have a bit of a skin thing going on...it turns out that he is allergic to chicken and we are trying to get a handle on it...he is getting some of his fur back and he LOVES his new 'duck' (grain and chicken free) food...nope...not because he is cold...lol!!!
