12 Apostles info: The iconic golden cliffs and crumbling pillars of the Twelve Apostles can be found 7km east of Port Campbell. They are protected by the Twelve Apostles Marine National Park which covers 7500ha and runs along 17km of stunning coastline. As well as the above water beauty the park protects some of Victoria’s most dramatic underwater scenery. Spectacular arches, canyons, fissures, gutters and deep sloping reefs make up the environment below the waves. Wild and powerful waves of the Southern Ocean constantly pound the coastline which has shaped the area into what you see today. The remarkable underwater structures provide a complex foundation for magnificent habitats including kelp forests and colourful sponge gardens. Many animals prosper both above and below the water including seabirds, seals, lobsters, reef fish and sea spiders. The intertidal and shallow subtidal reefs are known to have the greatest diversity of invertebrates on limestone reef in Victoria. Marine mammals, such as whales, are also known to visit the area. Patient visitors after dark or in the early morning may see Little Penguins which nest in caves below the Twelve Apostles. Access Visitors can view the park from shore however access to the water primarily by boat due to the high cliffs and powerful sea conditions (launching point in Port Campbell or Princetown). Aboriginal Traditional Owners Parks Victoria acknowledges the Aboriginal Traditional Owners of Victoria - including its parks and reserves. Through their cultural traditions, Aboriginal people maintain their connection to their ancestral lands and waters. Indigenous tradition indicates that this park is situated between two language group areas. Thanks for another awesome trip. Hats looks cool. I have also been following Trent and Allie And THEY are doing a Mexico to Belize trip. Max and Lee you MUST go see Las Grutas de Tolantongo. San Cristobal Colon 42370 Cardonal Hgo Mexico. Maybe you already did, but if not? Check it OUT!!! Your kind of thing. Hot springs, waterfalls, caves, etc WOW. They say only go on weekdays, weekends are waay too crowded, as that is where Mexicans go for vacations.

I'm feeling the love in this video and just knowing about limestone, the 12 apostles were part of the cliffs that eroded over time from the surf, sand, wind etc. They most likely formed sea caves and then bridges and then the bridges collapsed forming stacks...eventually all the stacks will erode away and collapse too. So cool. Love geology! Oh and the hat is a keeper, but I collect hats so I have a bias. Max, you do you, if you're feeling it, then wear it and rock it out.

We had a V-DUD Camper and my hubby and I went all over in it. The roof opened up on a angle and it had two pull out bunk beds. The cooker was under the front passenger seat. We rebuilt the dub from the floor pans up and the cooker was in bits in a box. A friend of ours had some vintage VW magazines and we managed to construct the cooker from pictures that we found. Happy days guys and another great Vlog xxx I’m loving the updates of Occy xxx

I just binchwatch you for days now! You both are amazing and your Contest is supergreat! Btw when you cut onions, cut them with a sharp knife, not squeeze them. When you squeeze them the water comes out and that is why you eyes water, so cut them gently like you show kids how to cut things.

I dearly miss living down the bottom of Australia but moving to Rockhampton has been a great adventure for myself and my business. I hitch hiked to Adelaide from Lorne it is the most amazing road I have travelled with lots of memories especially my first koala sighting in Cape Otway with a Chinese couple on there honeymoon that were very excited to pick up their first hitchhikers. Cool to see you guys taking the time to stop to make coffee and lunch from the van, as opposed to just spending money on it at the shops. Growing up my mum and dad always brewed tea and coffee on a camping stove and ate homemade cakes or bread, pulled off the road somewhere on the way to surf trips at Pt Leo or Torquay, it was cheaper and more of an experience. I know you go to coffee shops too in other episodes, but this was good to see mixing it up.

I do believe Occy will want to go back to grandmas's at least once every two years, he is having more fun then me. I have never been to Australia (son has surfing) or heard of the Great Ocean Road, but it is amazing, beautiful, wonderful, lovely. thanks for showing it to us. Max, thenhat definitely works for ya, and Lee's outback stetson is hot. I didnt notice the seat belt, glad others did though. Lee I have noticed you putting your feet up on the dashboard a number of times, thats pretty dangerous to. If you get git from behind or hit something, you'll drive your knees into your chest or head, Max has probably seen the outcome of that. When your back in Barrie, if there's a chance to meet up in Toronto it would be great. Occy seems to love the snow. I'm loving what I see of Australia, definitely on my list now!!!!
