Rod and reel technology have come a long ways. The carbon rods are so light and the reels so smooth. Pawn shops can sometimes be another place to pick up fishing equipment.

Not sure if this helps but back in my Honda days I had a similar issue with my k20/k24 built and we didn’t had vetc so we put a restrictor on the block for the oil pressure so be adequate for the vtec to engage.

Replace with a EK Civic prop valve, I use a EK9 Civic Type R prop valve on mine

I love the content no matter what it’s brother, I used to go fishing specifically with my old turbo CRX and after I sold it I regretted it and even stopped going fishing but now I’ve a Y49 89 Si that I’ve been working on for some time now to be a K series AWD sleeper and hopefully I’ll be able to finish it but just like you say (Progress is better than no progress) 🤘🫡 💪 much blessings to you and your family brother

Hey man I was just wondering since you know a lot about Hondas I have a 06 rsx base and it’s throwing a p2646 rocker arm oil control valve stuck on or off code. I researched it and found out it could be a couple of things but would it cause the car to start intermittently? That’s what it’s doing and I don’t won’t to spend alot of money at a shop because I can’t afford it. Any feedback would be appreciated

Try disassemble the vtec solenoid,clean the orifice inside and the is plunger,see if it moves freely!

Oil it up.. remember what makes rust.. moisture and air.. lube it up protects it from air and moisture. If it really anal . Wrap it up after you lube it

Does this one also have the vvt solenoid on the passenger side of block? I have a crv and if I'm off by half a quart run good but eventually the pins lock causing limp mode until I add a quart of oil.
