Where Should Modulation Pedals Go In Your Signal Chain?

Before or after? Yes! For me vibrato, univibe and phaser go before dirt, chorus, flange, rotary and tremolo go after dirt. I typically go fuzz-wah-pitch-comp-pre mod-dirt-vol-post mod-dly-verb into a clean amp or split after dirt for fx loop when using amp drive. No set rules but this works for me most of the time.

I’ve recently moved my green label CE-2 in-front of my signal chain (mostly because i do t have any other input buffers) and was pleasant surprised. I’m using a pretty medium chorus sound though nothing over the top. Love it though.

Great idea for a vid! I hear what amounts to a "room" sound or extra space when you place the Lex before the overdrive. Perhaps there is a micro-delay that is amplified by all of the modulation elements?

Yep lex into tilt sounds great. Generally vibe, flange before drive, distortion. Chorus before , delay then reverb. I view modulation as different types of delay pedals, But as a chorus nut. Have a ehx stereo mistress before distortion, can get Andy summers type cleans, or evh flange. A trichorus first in effects loop to get 80s landau. Then after pitch, delays reverb,boss dimension end of chain, to get 80s pop with clean. Srv on drive, full 80s rock on distortion. There's different tones and flavours everywhere and it varies by pedal, if it sounds good to you it's all that matters. Hope this helps. Good luck with your pedalboard build.

Too bad that Artemis mission is so far off, I ain’t had shore leave since 72 😖 Edit: it doesn’t need 3 Twonotes fully loaded special edition cab sims so we put 4 in it, the 4th is an amalgamation of the others blended in individual rooms and together at the same time for a dodecahedral sound stage but maybe I’ve divulged too much all ready.
