Martina looks fabulous! I know she has psoriasis/eczema, so I imagine she keeps up with a regular skincare routine. She probably learned a lot of skincare tricks living in Korea. Also, BB cream supposedly works wonders. And spuffs! (sunscreen) Also, having EDS can make your skin look younger for longer; one of the few perks of this damn disease. I still get asked what year in high school I am all the time.

If you're visiting Japan and don't know what to get for your friends and family back home, head to a Japanese supermarket. You'll get all you'll need and more, and you won't have to reshuffle your luggage at the airport :D

Hi Simon and Martina! I used to work at Coco Curry in Hawaii and I have a peanut allergy. It wasn't until after two bowls of curry I realized I was having a mild allergy reaction to it and not a weird stomachache. I assume that's why Coco Curry tastes different, if not better, to other Japanese curries. I was wondering if you know if other Japanese curry restaurants or instant brands also include nuts in their recipe? Or if it's just Coco curry. Love your guy's videos, always puts a smile to my face :)

Gabriela Vega Which is simply Coke made with sugar instead of high fructose corn syrup. In the USA, the price of sugar is artificially inflated, pushing companies to use the corn products. In other parts of the world this is not true. White sugar is SWEET, but not as sweet as HFC. A lot of people (including my family) prefer the less sweet versions. HFC is also very addictive and spikes blood sugar super high - it’s responsible for a certain amount of diabetic conditions and weight gain.

I love Japanese supermarkets. For non-edible gifts I like to go to 100 yen shops (e.g. Daiso) and just get a bunch of little cute things - anything from stationary, school supplies, stickers and decorations, to kitchen sponges, tissue packets, or even nail trimmers (they have cute ones!). Most 100 yen shops also have Made-in-Japan dishware that’s really impressive for the price. Dollar store gifts might seem boring or cheap in theory, but in my experience Japanese 100 yen products are pretty good quality and people really love those kinds of practical-yet-unique gifts.

I LOVE VISITING SUPERMARKETS. And also convenience stores. I'm fascinated by the "normal" everyday food that people that actually live in places buy day to day. Just leave me to wander around a grocery store in a new country, looking at the food, people watching, seeing what they buy... I LOVE THAT SHIT

Supermarkets all the way!! I love going to super markets to see the types of things they sell there, plus it's a cheaper way to get some really great and unique souvenirs. Plus it's just fun to browse. My boyfriend and I usually go get food then bring it back to our airbnb so we can just snack all day.

Same! I love to visit supermarkets in foreign countries. Love it so much that it became a running joke w my friends that I do my grocery run overseas lol. But in all honesty, supermarkets are like, the best place to see how locals live their life and you can see soooo many things and products that aren't available in our own place! (Plus they're also a cheap alternate for souvenirs )

I usually spare half a day to two days for super market visits while in a foreign country, it's a great way to discover the modern culture of the place.

I also love going to other countries grocery stores! It gives me an idea of how local's live/eat. I've always had that curiosity, but I think it's been amplified because I've worked at a grocery store for 6 years. I'm still interested for the sociology? of if, but now the business aspect as well. Seeing how they merchandise, the products that are being sold, the layout of the store.

They have channel memberships you can do that are about 5 bucks a month! You get some extra videos once a month or so to enjoy and some special emojis in live chats you can use. Otherwise, you can just catch them in a live chat sometime and do a super chat for whatever amount you want to send them. Hopefully KZbin adds some levels into channel memberships soon, I know a lot of people would definitely like to donate more than $5 a month! For the totally broke (such as myself atm), just turn off adblockers and don't skip ads when they play, and then they can receive money that way. Then it's not costing you anything but time to donate, but they still get something from it (so they can keep funding more expensive fruit videos lol).

Supermarkets are my go-to place in any country to look for souvenir snacks. I just hit the supermarket in Antwerp Belgium when I was there for my day job and brought back so many fun snacks, both savory and sweet. It's also more reasonably priced than the obvious chocolate or souvenir shops.

Thumbs up on your recommendations! You listed many of my favs although you missed Cheeza snack crackers (!). Also, a tip, from another daily cyclist who grocery shops for a family of 5: consider buying a Burley Travoy trailer. Amazing design and they fold up into a very small package. (Get the rain cover add on because... monsoons). The trailer goes into the grocery store with you and can be used as a hand cart, not just a bike trailer. I can haul cases of beer, garden mulch, tp or paper towels AND my groceries, even though this is a very narrow trailer that tracks easily without creating a problem on the bike path.
